Enjoyed the windmill ,views and talking to Ralph and Leanne .Would definatey return and do the tour.Had a light snack before we continued our journey.
We were on a taxi tour and unfortunately, after running to the restroom and then grabbing a drink in the cafe, there wasn't much time for the full tour. To really get the most from this, other than great photos, you need to engage with the tour operator and go tour the inside. I'll have to come back and do that, although what we did get to learn about it was most interesting.
We stopped here today unexpectedly. So glad we did. We did the private tour with Ralph. It was very reasonable and the fee is donated to the Barbados national trust. He was so incredibly knowledgeable about the mill, the history of the sugar cane industry, the island and other things. You get to go up inside the mill, it’s been very well restored and set up for the tour. We highly recommend this for everyone including kids. Thank you!
Great place to visit. You can enjoy the lovely view of the scotland district and relive the glory days of the Windmill. Also you can enjoy a light snack at the quaint grab and go onsiteOh yeh smack dab in all of that you got a small diaryyou wont be sorry u visited.
Visit the largest Windmill in the Caribbean and have a delicious Patty, Quiche, Sandwich etc, along with Nespresso Coffee and, throw in a tour of the Mill for good measure.
Not much going on here but it's beautiful AND free! Great view
The windwill is near one of thw highest points on the island offering great views plus mill looks to be in good condition but the vanes were not turning.
Nice but not much to see
Historic sight, with some beautiful views.
Wonderful and historic windmill. Unfortunately it is not in operation, but has the potential to be. Last of it's kind in the Caribbean.
A lovely piece of history of Barbados. Morgan Lewis windmill is one of the only 2 windmills in the Caribbean that are intact.
The windmill is pretty and was free however there are very few days they actually run the mill and you can not get up close to it. But for something free and if you have a car enjoy the drive and go see it.
