A Bajan treasure. Sad to see what has happened to it. At least you can go in and take a peek while enjoying view and a nice drink at the cafe.

10 years ago i visited this place and it was fantastic , monkeys , fish, flamingos nice cafe etc lovely walk ways you could easily spend a day here , now you can only visit the fish in the lake and the lovely cafe. Its a shame was good day out , very surprised to see the majority of it closed.

It is a beautiful location, however, in it's current state it's very limited in space. The Cafe's setup creates unfortunately high prices

Looks amazing, beautiful path around a lake with many species of bird and fish. The only downside - 95% of it is closed and apparently has been so for a decade. People did not know why. Nice for use as a little park but not really functioning as a public animal sanctuary,

I really enjoy visiting this place. the atmosphere is breathtaking and the view is lovely as well. Really wish the trail was open so I could explore some more but the ducks were fun. 👍

I was going to write a review but then I read Jim Webster's from 3 months ago and it would have been pretty much word for word! I always come here, it is so beautiful and so tranquil. I'm flying back to England later today and I will be calling in here this morning for a final latte ❤

Walked the mile and a half from the Courtyard Marriott only to find out the place is closed for renovations and the gate is locked. Would be nice to update that on this site or others.

Loved going here. It is so peaceful, the wildlife is respected. Saw flamingoes and other marshland birds, fed the giant fish (and black birds), and watched the monkeys dp their daily walk across the wall. Shoutout to the staff in the cafe - Kimberly was kind and informative, and told us to wait on the bench at the entrance to catch the monkeys. Would definitely recommend - what a shame the majority is closed because of a legal dispute with the govt.

Unfortunately the walks around the lake are closed. Such a shame as it's a beautiful place with huge potential. Didn't hold my 4 year old's interest for long.

We went to see the nature sanctuary, but weren't too disappointed when it was closed. The café allows you limited access to the ground with tables set overlooking the lake.

This place is just soooo peaceful. You get to buy fish food to feed the fish the cafe has the most amazing cheese cake and vanilla frappe yes we love! Sometimes the monkeys come out to play.. be mindful of the birds.. they swoop down for the leftovers very quickly!

I've been a visitor to Barbados for many years and I find that the sanctuary at Graeme Hall is one of the most tranquil spots on the island. Although you are only 100 metres from the main road you feel like you are miles away. The gardens are the best groomed on the island.
My routine is simple; buy a latte, sit at one of the shaded table, feed the tarpon, take a few pictures of the egrets and other birds, read my book and enjoy the surrounds and view of the pond. Basic stuff. There is also free wifi on site, if your book happens to be on your iPad.response / report this review -

Unfortunately this is only partially open due to a dispute between the owner and the government. It is a beautiful place it's just a shame so little is open to the public.

It's tragic that you can no longer walk around the sanctuary due to issues with the government. However you can gain access to the grounds around the lake if you purchase food or drink. We have just come back from having a lovely breakfast there and it was worth every penny. The views are truly breathtaking and the site itself has been well maintained ever since its closure seven years ago. We live in hope that the next time we come back to Barbados the Sanctuary will be fully open and we will be able to see everything it has to offer!
