Absolutely breathtaking property in a prime beachfront location.
We have had one of our best family holidays at Craggy Nook. The villas are of an exceptionally high standard with a stunning position right on the beach – just walk through the gate and into the sea which is warm and inviting. We stayed in The Green Monkey, the middle level villa. The apartments are beautifully decorated, light and airy, comfortable, secure and cooled with air conditioners and fans.
We went on 2 awesome boat trips up the west coast of the island, stopping at the marine reserve area to snorkel and further up the coast to swim. There is an amazing restaurant called The Fish Pot that we moored at and went to for lunch. Friday night fish market at Oistins in a must. It’s easy to catch a bus or a local mini bus taxi to Oistins. The fish is fresh and cooked just before being served to you. It gets very busy so it’s worth going a bit earlier to get a table.
There are restaurants within easy walking distance from Craggy Nook. To the left along the boardwalk is Blakeys and our favourite, Tapas, a little bit further along. Also to the right on the beach, next door to Craggy Nook is The Coconut Court Hotel. Craggy Nook guests can use their pool and restaurants. There is safe protected swimming right in front of the hotel. They have a buffet on Saturday night which we went to and it’s a great spot for lunch.
The most special experience was watching a Hawksbill turtle dig a hole on the far side of the Coconut Court Beach and lay about 150 eggs. Then watching her cover over the hole so there was hardly a trace that her eggs were there and make her way back into the sea. Watch out for the red torch lights of the turtle volunteers who keep track of the turtles and their eggs.
We hired a car from Stoutes, with a 10% discount for guests of Craggy Nook, and they will deliver the car to the apartment. It’s easy to find your way around the island. There are beautiful beaches on the East coast, Bath Beach and Bathsheba Beach. We also visited a couple of sugar plantation houses, Sunbury and St Nicholas Abbey and the amazing pottery studio, Earthworks. Be prepared to spend a bit of time there if you want to buy something as it is very difficult to decide.
We cannot recommend Craggy Nook highly enough. You’ll have an awesome holiday staying there and will be well looked after by their staff.
Craggy Nook Villas, Barbados, was fabulous for our family holiday. We had an amazing time. It was like being home away from home. Five stars, beautiful, brand new accommodation. Right at the gorgeous turquoise beach. It came with free fiber optic Internet so it was great for keeping in touch with work, family and friends. The price was affordable and it comfortably sleeps 6!
Great place to stay in barbados!!! Right in front of the most beautiful beach, white sand, clear water, excellent loaction !!! Brand new !! Clean! Like being at home! Must go tu craggy nook, will be back for sure! Recommend 100%!!!
We just came back from an 8 day wonderful vacation to Barbados. We stayed at one of Craggy Nook Villas. The villa is brand new, beautifully decorated and it is beachfront. I am missing it already. The gorgeous beach was all to ourselves and we got to swim with the 5 turtles who live there. We felt very welcome by their staff and super secure at these gated villas. We were steps away from the boardwalk by the ocean so every morning to just walk to the coffee shops. We had an excellent Italian restaurant just across the street.
I definitely will go back and give Craggy Nook 5 stars.
