The Concorde Experience in Barbados is an intriguing attraction for aviation enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. Nestled close to the island's international airport, this unique exhibit showcases the legendary Concorde, a supersonic passenger aircraft that revolutionized air travel between the 1970s and 2000s. With its sleek design and cutting-edge technology, the Concorde not only boasts a storied history but also offers a glimpse into the future of aviation.
When visiting, you can expect an immersive look at the aircraft's operations. You’ll have the opportunity to step aboard and walk through the Concorde’s luxurious cabin, while knowledgeable guides share fascinating details about its engineering marvels and the experiences of those who flew on it. The interactive displays allow you to delve deep into Concorde's operations, including its impressive cruising speed of over Mach 2. Visitors often marvel at how the plane managed to cut travel time significantly, allowing New York to London flights to be completed in around three and a half hours.
In addition to the aircraft itself, the Concorde Experience features a section dedicated to the evolution of aviation in Barbados and around the world. Was there for work but it was a great experience
My family had a great time touring the Concorde plane. Especially our three year old-He was so sad when it was time to leave. We had initially read reviews that it was underwhelming, however we did not find that to be the case at all. Our tour guide was fantastic. Also, it is easily accessible by public bus and would make a good activity to do on the day you fly in or out of the Island as it is connected to the Airport.
Fun, you get to tour inside the concord and then self tour around the outside. The place is air conditioned so it's nice and comfortable for us tourists. They have viewing platform to watch planes land and take off at the air port, but I suggest going later afternoon if you want to see planes coming and going.
It was super cool, and it was amazing to go into one and look at what it'd be like 20 odd years ago.
Very cool experience the plane is immaculate and the tour is perfect not too long not too short. I didn't know anything about the Concorde before it trully was an amazing aircraft. Cool place if your looking too kill somme time waiting for a flight.
No one talks about this but is amazing place.
Amazing
Didn't know that had a museum
Great way to get on board a real Concord and learn about the engineer marvel this was for its time, and even now. Walk down the aisle, sit in the seats, and get plenty of pix to show your friends. Queen Elizabeth reportedly rode in seat 1a so go feel the vibe.
Excellent well presented and very well maintained Concorde G-BOAE
It is a very nice experience. We can enter inside the Concorde and see histories about the airplane. The price is a bit expensive but it worths.
If you have a couple of hours free and are interested in large flying objets, visit this museum!
