Celestine serves some delicious home-cooked food very close to Harrison's cave. She even helped take care of our one-year-old while we ate some delicious flying fish and chicken with macaroni pie and sweet potato pie.
We had the very fortunate opportunity to spend some time with the lovely Celestine. She prepared an incredible lunch for me and my husband which included flying fish, cou cou, macaroni pie along with rice and peas. absolutely DELICIOUS! For dessert she served the most amazing freshly baked coconut bread. We appreciated her gracious hospitality and for introducing us to the delicious dishes of wonderful Barbados. Thank you, Celestine!
A good stop on your way to, or from Harrison's cave. The menu is posted on a board at the entrance. Menu options are limited to two or three different meals but should meet the needs of many.
The food as well as the juices tastes really good. The food is home cooked style and the juices are freshly prepared (not from concentrate). Don't discount the juices, they are worth trying.
Food and juice drinks were amazing. Best mac pie on the island. Perfect little place to eat lunch.
Loved it. It was like visiting your grandma :-) Best home made food, good talk, cozy place :-) We even got bananas from a tree to eat day after :-)))
Very lovely lady.
After nice tour at the Harrison's cave stop by Celestine very good local food and if you get lucky like me you get to meet Celestine!
Wow! So happy to have stumbled across this place after leaving Harrison's Cave. Some of the best local food on the island, and by far the most moist coconut bread! Can't wait to return.
Thanks Celestine!

The food in this place was great, you actually get to meet Celestine who is a lovely lady who reminds me of my grandmother and her lovely home cooking. Being a Bajan and knowing the cuisine, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a real home cooked local meal.
Flying fish and conversation with Celestine.
We were lucky enough to meet Celestine today and have the last of her flying fish, macaroni pie and salad. She also shared a loaf of her fresh baked coconut loaf with extra to take home. She shared her photo album from her trip to Canada and gave me a hug as we left. A memorable lunch.
Celestine's café/restaurant is one of the nicest and warmest places we've visited in Barbados. It's a local establishment, set up in their backyard, that has genuine Bajan/Barbadian food as if prepared by your grandma (if she were Bajan).
We got to try Macaroni Pie, Cou-Cou and sweet potatoes for lunch after the cave tour and tried some delicious Coconut Bread in the morning along with coffee before our tour.
The place is so quiet and relaxing and locals visiting both times were so friendly we felt very welcome here. Unfortunately we found it on our last day in Barbados but if we come back this is definitely one of the places to revisit, multiple times!
