Very nice Monastery.
Nice orthodox monastery.
Beautiful serbian orthodox monastery on the neretva river valley. The church has been well restored, and the paintings of the walls and ceiling are just incredible. We stopped on our way to Mostar from Medjugorje and it was really worth it, a peaceful place.
Žitomislići is a beautiful and serene place along the road between Mostar and Čapljina. It's rather easy to spot the monastery from the road and parking is plentiful. The Orthodox monastery has been in this spot since 16th century and it's faced more than its fair share of hardship. It was destroyed during the civil war in the 1990s and during World War II. The monastery was beautifully restored. The monk at the time of our visit was very welcoming and open to answering questions. If you want to take a break from tourists, crowds, souvenir sellers of Mostar and get a bit of tranquility you should not miss this spot.
Симпатично и уютно, стоит заехать, если мимо проезжаете.
