This fusion restaurant blends Italian and local flavors together in a great way. The food was delicious, fresh and cooked well. We got a chicken pasta and the beef salad. Both were amazing and we got large portions. The prices are not bad at all, factoring in the size of the meal. This place is definitely worth a stop for a bit to eat.

They have an English menu and the wait staff speak English.

Great restaurant with tasty food and definitely excellent bosniak wine. Don't ask for the menu just let the waitress guide you through a nice dish.

No-menu restaurant, chef prepares meal depending on available ingredients. Delicious! If you do not mind walking uphill, visit the place, will not regret!

Awful. What a terrible dinner experience, from start to finishthe food was mediocre, the service was terrible, and our server was extremely rude.

I'll start with the food. The big thing with this place is that there is no menu. Ok. Except there is a menu, just not a written one. You have a choice of fish, chicken, or beef. You can have some different sauces, but everything is cooked in a wok and comes with a generic vegetable mix. The server asked us if there was anything we didn't like/want. My friend mentioned that she's gluten and lactose free. I told him that I don't care for mushrooms. We both ordered beef. My husband and I started with beef vegetable soup. Not only was there no discernible beef, but it tasted like something straight out of the can. Disappointing, to say the least. When our entrees came, our friend didn't have the potatoes that were supposed to come with her beef. The beef entree my husband and I were sharing was FULL of mushrooms. While the meat quality was good, the overall taste was like a knockoff version of something you'd find at, say, a Benihana in the United States.

As mediocre as the food was, the service here is what was really shocking. The server (Adis, who later told us he is also the manager) seemed disinterested from the beginning. We had to ask for everything, from water to an explanation of the "no menu" menu. He was aloof and condescending. When I asked whether the chef could prepare french fries for my toddler, he explained that Mala is a "fusion" restaurant and even asked us if we understood the concept (we have been to over 50 countries and live in Los Angeles). My glass of wine came out with a bug in it. The server did not apologize or bring me another glass. After 5-10 minutes of waiting, I had to get up and practically walk into the kitchen to ask for a fresh glass of wine. Absolutely horrible.

I wanted our friend to have a great experience on her last night traveling with us. What we got instead was inexcusably bad. There are a lot of good restaurants in Sarajevo. Don't waste your time here.

Great upscale dining. Fusion cuisine but the portions are too big and therefore too expensive

Had a New years evening special menu there, great fusion of asian and continental cuisine, restaurant has an interesting kind of industrial inside look. Staff was very helpful and skilled, prices are a bit higher from a local viewpoint but for a traveller it is worth a try.

Fabulous experience! A few things to note: the food really isn't Indian or Thai (it's tagged that way when you google it). It's a fusion take on Bosnian food that incorporates an Asian flare, but not exactly tied to any specific type of Asian cuisine. When we sat down, we were not given menus but rather the waiter asked us if we have any dietary restrictions. They chefs chose what to make us and everything was superb, so if you come here expecting a small simple dinner it isn't the right place. Bring your appetite and adventurous spirit and experience excellent cuisine at an affordable price.

Excellent service and food. I enjoyed my time here. The way the food is ordered here was an experience. They didn't have menus. The waiter talked to the table and got a sense of what we would like to eat. We had excellent food and deserts. I would recommend coming here to anyone. Reserve a table!
