The mosque was being renovated that time. So we cannot enter the complex. But it looked beautiful.

Definitely, one of the most beautiful mosques I've ever seen. Especially on the inside, very unique.

Wonderful mosque in the heart of the city. Beautiful external garden and beautiful interior design. You have the possibility to have a guided visit inside the mosque just offering something for the mosque itself.

A great and peaceful place you have to visit.
The call to the prayer "Athan" is the most beautiful thing to hear.

Architecturally and urbanistically, as well as aesthetically, Ferhadia is one of the most beautiful structures in the world !
Its demolition and subsequent disposal of its debris to a local garbage dumping-ground - not to some ditch or river, or some desolate place, but to a garbage dumping-ground (!) - in, let's say, already secured Banja Luka, a town without any fightings or any immediate dangers, together with all the rest town's & municipality's mosques (17 in municipality; 12 in town), among which was one Arnaudia, also ultimate architectural masterpiece, constitutes a menacing utter barbarism, which terrifies reason and freezes one's heart !
Unfortunately, today presumably educated, town-dwelling youth in Banjaluka, of Serb descent, contemptuously look at its emergence from the ashes, lacking sensibility for the heritage of their own town, if it belongs to different tradition or religion, while they express total disregard for its general significance.
Some examples of such prolonged anachronism and regressiveness can be observed here, in this "review" section, among seemingly progressive young Banjaluka Serbs who gave degrading "one star" to this historic accomplishment of renewal in their town. Shameful for them, wonderful week for those who know how to appreciate pinnacle of any human fine endeavor.
