A beautiful construction in the quite city of Banja Luka. Many visitors during a service.
It's the landmark of the town
From ashes to eternal look.

Banja Luka's Byzantine-style Orthodox Cathedral is an impressive structure of layered gold-brown and crab-pink stones rising to golden domes and flanked by an unfeasibly tall free-standing bell tower. The interior has a splendid carved iconostasis and giant central chandelier through which a dazzling mosaic of Christ stares down from within the main dome.
The structure was built from 2000, a faithful reconstruction that started nearly 60 years after the previous incarnation was bombed by #Nazi Germany, then demolished by their Ustashi stooges.
From ashes to eternal look.
Very nice sight
Rebuilt after Second World War was destroyed by Germans from the air and Ustaše from the ground.
Remains of the old temple ruins could be seen near the new built one.
Enjoy in peaceful atmosphere of an ortodox church!
From ashes to eternal look.
Totally beutifull, especially at night with friends.
Nicely reconstructed Serbian Orthodox Church. Beutiful architecture.
One of the city sights, a very beautiful church. A must see if you are visiting Banja Luka
Very nicely decorated, with selected materials. Reconstructed identically to the pre-WW II church.
