A very nice place to visit in Baku. You will have a very good view from here. There is also a small park nearby, where you can take some rest. There were a lot of tourists in the nowrooz time (March 21- March 25) there, and since the place is located inside the Icheri sheher (or Old city), you will find it by walking inside the icheri shehr. To walk from the Qiz Qalasi (Castle of girl) to this palace takes around 10 minutes or less, while you cross and walk thorugh the old times narrow valleys. I would strongly recommend visiting this place while being in Baku.

I visited Shirvanshahs with OceanAir Travels. A very historic palace. Nice artifacts and relics. The small shops around the palace are beautiful too. Tour guide is knowledgeable and you will know that he really knows his craft, not to mention his humility and hospitality. Worth recommending. Thanks to OceanAir Travels.

Visited this place with the intention to know more details of its background and history, therefore rented an iPad, and how disappointed I was because it didnt come with headphones. Directions were confusing too.

My bad for comparing this place with Dolmabahce Palace in Turkey, oh I should not have..

There's a souvenier shop inside the complex which also provides photo opportunity wearing Azerbaijan traditional costume. From what I understood, 20 Manat was for one digital n printed photo. When I wanted the digital copy, she was hesitating. After some argument only she said she will email (thankfully she did). My bad too for comparing this experience with the ones in Korea & Morocco (Korea much cheaper, Morocco even gave it for free)

For being one the most attractive site in Baku, there's nothing very special to see here. It's obviously all renewed, but it appear like a fake new. Walls and rooms are often empty, and when there is something to show, is very boring (carpet, pot). Half an hour for a complete visit.

The complex contains the main building of the palace, Divanhane, the burial-vaults, the shah's mosque with a minaret, Seyid Yahya Bakuvi's mausoleum, a portal in the east, Murad's gate, a reservoir and the remnants of a bath house. Here you also enjoy a scenic view of the Flame Towers and other parts of the Baku city.

Nice place to visit. do not come directly from city gate. Make more time to traveling alley to visit here. There are more pleasure to discover old path and beauty.

Another must see place in old town Baku. A lot of Information is written on boards in English, Russian and Azerbaijani. No need for audio guide.
