I stayed a week in this place. Didn't even want to check out other hostels, since it has everything you would expect from a hostel :clean, modern, spacious, laundry service, affordable, good location, common area, friendly staff, kitchen, lockers (maybe a guitar would be nice to have), social games. I'm fully satisfied with my stay here. Thank you guys for managing and taking care of this place. Cheers. Serguei :)

This is definitely the best hostel.I stayed in and I'm a picky one. It's truly hostel as it should be-modern, superclean, beds with curtains that give privacy and comfy shelf, the common area nice and music not too loud, staff absolutely client oriented will help with all. Many clean bathrooms.
The place attracts travellers not local workers (have visited a few hostels in.Baku before) and they behaved with respect, not being noisy etc.
Small dislikes though:
-the hot water is lacking sometimes
-most dorms are on noisy and sunny street side and personally I couldn't get used to. The ventilation was not on, so if you close windows it's immediately stuffy inside, if you open its unbearable noise. For me at least. When I moved to the other side it was perfect.response / report this review -

I have stayed in may hostels around the globe, but this is definitely one of the most amazing spots I have visited! Perfect cleanliness, excellent staff and an unbeatable location! Will definitely be back soon!

Beds are comfortable. Common area is reasonable size. Kitchen is alright if small for the number of guests. The cleaning staff are amazing and do a great job. So why 3 stars? The guests ruin this place. The closest bathrooms to the common area are a mess by the night. Piss everywhere. One man in our dorm was out till 4am every night and made no attempt to return quietly. Obviously this is not the fault of the hostel, but this seems the kind the place attracts.

This an amazing and clean modern hostel with lovely staff that are ready to help you with any questions you may have, and they are very friendly! loved their beautiful wooden beds with great linen. The beds also have sockets, personal light and comfy shelf for your stuff. Totally recommended!

We chose the hostel because it is closed to Metro and the room is attached with bathroom, however quite disappointing of it.
After booking, the hostel sent a notification that the metro is under construction and only ready after Jun 2018. Still good that the hostel informed us upfront about it!
We stayed two nights there separately which is before heading to Shahdag and after coming back from Shahdag. First check in the room is small but the toilet was horribly smelly! Informed the staff and she helped immediately by calling the cleaner to clean the toilet, the smell didn’t gone after we came back at night and the staff agreed to change us to another room, which is smaller. The room is very hot although the temperature of outdoor is 1-3°C. My bigger child fell fever the next morning (may be because the room was too hot and her body couldn’t cope it. Luckily I prepared the medicine). We mentioned to the staff we want another room (not this and the previous room) when we come back.
2nd check in the room is the biggest among the three rooms. We are happy that the staffs helped to reserve the bigger room for us. However, the drainage in the shower area is not flowing smooth and we don’t have enough hot water for shower next morning. :( the water is cold and my children cannot take it! Feedback to staff but problem not solved! My husband didn’t face the hot water problem when he took shower earlier.
Generally the hostel is beautifully designed with nice lobby area with various games! The view from the balcony is beautiful too. The staffs are helpful and you can keep your baggage after check out or before check in (they have storage room). However, I think the drainage system need to re-design to solve the bad smell and flow issue! Also, I guess may be design of the hostel comes with too many bathrooms and hence the hot water supply is insufficient if many guests take shower at same time! Or we are the unlucky one to face the bad experience.response / report this review -

Well Everyone is nice & helpfull i really love sahil hostel & hotel it feels like home, that’s why i never miss my hometown lol, everyone is so friendly here, i want to stay there all rest of my life,

Clean, nice staff, modern facilities. Worth noting that the four person room is between the common area/reception and the balcony. Can be a bit noisy. Earplugs mostly took care of it though.

Five stars for this great hostel. Beautiful, clean and six stars for the staff, very kind and friendly. The lounge room is very comfortable, toilet always clean as the kitchen. It's also cheap and located in a perfect area. What more?
