  The Khazar Islands (Azerbaijani: Xəzər adaları), also known as Caspian Islands, is a planned development of artificial islands 25 km (16 mi) south of Baku, Azerbaijan consisting of 41 islands extending 3,000 hectares (30 km2) over the Caspian Sea.
