We used to go grocery shopping here most of the time because we live nearby, but never had a pleasant shopping experience there.
The staff follows you around everywhere, and we feel like they giggle a lot about foreigners who don't speak the language (I've heard this from several other friends, too). The staff kept asking personal questions all the time, and we got tired of that plus all the giggling among each other, the staring at us, and the staff always trying to ask us questions in Azerbaijani although they know that we don't speak the language well (yet). It just got so bad that we felt more and more uncomfortable going there. Now that Bravo is open across the street, we only go to Beegross for "emergencies".
The supermarket does carry a good variety of products, especially for its size, but it feels crammed, especially where the produce section is. Produce is sometimes up to double the price as at the Bolmart that is just a few hundred meters away, and their produce selection is not the greatest, either.
I know quite a few people who were very excited when the Bravo across the street opened.
