We spent a night here in July 2017. First off: if this place was ready for service (it's being built) and staffed, it would be great - it's clear to see that it will be truly nice, and some things are already great. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in ages, with beautiful bread, a small but brilliant selection of local produce, and gems such as freshly made smoothies and buckthorn shots.
Sadly, it is not ready for service and not really staffed. In the 15 hours we spent, so many things went wrong that it seems impossible to believe. On arrival, we spend 20-30 minutes looking for a non-existing reception (well it has no sign whatsoever) that was closed, with nobody answering the phone, and the location of the address on map services showing some 500 meters away. Next, our booking was lost (then magically found again). Next, rooms on the third floor with no elevator - in a party of five with three parents in their 70s-80s (there is an elevator, we just couldn't use it without staff being present, and it could only be accessed by climbing a metal grid emergency staircase with high steps and to hold on to). Next, the single person in the party was placed in a double room and the elderly pair in a single, with one of them having to climb into the bed from the foot end (we only noticed this in the morning). The staff that promised to meet us and help us get down to the ground floor with the elevator at 8.30 the next morning simply never showed up. There were numerous things missing - bed lamps, bathroom lamps, the list goes on. Construction was going on in the entire building except for one hall where the few semi-finished rooms were. It is amazing to me that the proprietors let these rooms at full price, and without mentioning the state of the place with a word. It is even more amazing that we were charged the full price after what amounted to a stay in a construction site which was made worse by a never-ending series of pretty bad mistakes. I think this is going to be a really nice place at some point, but I won't be returning. It'd only remind me of a nightmare I'd rather forget, and of being played like a fool.report this review -
