Really impressive middle age castle. Here you can try on you dress of that time and make a photos
Provides an excellent insight into what life was like in a medieval castle.
Well maintained but like other "castles" in Finland, there's just nothing much to see or do inside the building itself. The surrounding area with nature and country houses are, on the other hand, very beautiful.
Very nice kept place with very good guidance even without separate tour. For younger family members there were treasury hunt to make others life easier - very nice.
There exists also greater and more interesting castles, but Kastelholma is quite ok in its class. Finnish museum card (Museokortti) accepted, which was nice.
Nice scenery and castle with an interesting history.
A nice and nicely restored castle in the heart of Åland.
Lots of history but due to a mistake someone had forgot to open the castle and our guide couldn't show us the inside. Not much to say but I wasn't impressed
Nice castle. Visit is very well organized. Audioguide is an Android app that you can download in your own phone. There is free wifi. You can also borrow a tablet with the app installed (included in the ticket)
It was a very beautiful and old middle-age castle surrounded by the nature.
Unfortunately closed when we visited in September, but is an impressively imposing castle in beautiful remote countryside. If you're passing through it's worth exploring even if the inside of the castle is closed.
A fascinating castle with interesting information about Åland's history and offers a beautiful view.
