Not what we expected, off the beaten path the food was pretty good , the atmosphere was different as there were no Chinese people there, Just locals, very pricey if you don't get their Special deals and it is not Charged in US currency
Do not go there. Ripping tourist off. It was 199 Aruba money but they charged $133.75 instead of $111.50. (Based on today April 1st 2018). And price on receipt was higher than what we saw on the menu. (15% service added on each instead of a whole check. So pay extra on the top of extra)
Portion: small dish.
Taste: salty
We are Asian and it was terrible. Do not believe all the review
gooood as always my favorite chinese restaurant the best 👍☺😊😆😊.Ice cream i love ice cream ha ha you know ?!!
Great egg rolls. Great filet mignon. Quick service. Very friendly.
The food is good but it takes too long
Here’s the reasons for the three stars
Service - 5 stars (our server was very friendly)
Food - 3 stars (tasteful but if you are looking for Chinese food then this is NOT the place - we ordered fried wonton and hot and sour soup - the fried wonton IS the wonton shell fried and the hot and sour soup is like sour chopped suey. The teriyaki sauce for chicken teriyaki was extremely heavy on the cinnamon side - I don’t remember the last time teriyaki sauce taste like that. We also ordered some steak hot place that was okay but again - not Chinese.
Wait time to get food after we ordered - 3 Stars (the restaurant wasn’t super busy but it took much longer than a typical wait time)
Parking - good
The best chinese restaurant on the island. My favorite ❤
Good food - congenial bartender Nick
An Aruba landmark
Good food, good service.
Chicken quality and taste from my sweet and sour chicken was very very good. The sauce was a little weird and different though. The pineapple on the sides were very sweet, and the rice was solid.
The chicken chow mein was delicious! Plenty of vegetables and good to boot. Chicken and the sauce went very well with the chow mein noodles.
Definitely a different taste than we're used to, but still very good.
Would probably try a different chicken dish than sweet and sour next time though.
They take USD cash, Visa, MasterCard
Bad food and overal expensive
One of the best chinese restaurants in Aruba!
In A Nutshell:
-Kowloon Restaurant has been in business for 40 years in Aruba.
-I was excited to finally eat some Asian food after eating Caribbean/Dutch food, but I was disappointed.
-Maybe my expectations were too high after seeing numerous Chinese grocery stores around the island.
-That is another mind boggling mystery b/c you don't see many Chinese on Aruba.
-So going into Kowloon I was hoping for some authentic Chinese food.
-Nothing about the Kowloon Soup or the boiled fish tasted authentic.
-I guess they cater to the locals native tastebuds.
Overall, I wouldn't come back or recommend it. Sorry just being honest.
Excellent service and high quality food!
Good food good service
Monsterous sized portions. Great staff that know the menus and allow custom ordering. Fast service.
My wife and I had a nice dinner, Frido was our waiter and he has been with the resteraunt for 33 years and he speaks 4 languagesFrido gave my wife and I some great suggestions and we enjoyed our dinner thoroughly.
Definitely the best Chinese restaurant on the island. Probably one of the oldest too on the island since they recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. Most of the waiters have been there since their opening years. Most of the local clients who come in there are greeted by their first name because they have been coming there regularly. The service is fast, cordial and the food is fantastic.
Excellent service and great food!
