Went her with my wife and 5 year old son. We thought it was great. Was able to get right up close and interact with all the donkeys including feeding and petting them. Wasn't too crowded when we went. Great quick excursion.
Awesome! Bring carrots and apples. The donkey's loved them!
Really worth the visit..kids got a kick out of it..and it was cheap..
It is sad to see some of the older sick donkeys, and the younger ones that try to kick & bully the others, but the owners & volunteers do a great job of keeping them well fed & watered. 90% of the donkeys are so sweet! Please go, & donate towards their goal of getting an outside breeder or two so this lovely subspecies will not go extinct.
Being a volunteer 19 years ago, I instantly fell in love with this 'new' sanctuary! See you back soon as a volunteer again 😊
So grateful to have had the opportunity to spend some time with these beautiful creatures. Will most definitely return ❤️
Love this place! The caregivers provide a loving home for these sweet animals. We visit every time we visit Aruba. We'll be there again in a few weeks.
A wonderful nonprofit that is doing great work to protect these animals and to preserve some of the history and culture of Aruba.
Such a great experience. The donkeys are all really friendly and love to interact with visitors. Don't bother buying food and bringing it here - they sell bags of pellets which are healthier for the donkeys for cheaper anyways. It's totally free so buying their food goes a long way to help support the sanctuary. A must visit while in Aruba!
We loved it. The donkeys were very friendly and the kids enjoyed feeding them.
This place was great! its free to enter and only a $1 to feed them a small pale of food. They were super funny to be fed and very friendly, even if a little aggressive for food haha.
My husband and I rented a Villa just a few minutes up the road from the donkey sanctuary, we went every morning for a week to help feed the donkeys, such a joy, to help the volunteer that give their time and love to these marvelous creatures from God. I plan to volunteer every time we visit Aruba, I'll be back!!
This is The most original sanctuary in the world. We loved our visit very much
