Excellent service did not need to wait to be seated (reservation) or offered a drink. Staff was very friendly and fast, the food was awsome. Ambiance was great. Highly recommended.

Spectacular! First time there last night after years of not heeding advice of "foodie" friends. Service, drinks, atmosphere and food all top shelf!!! Will be a regular stop for a great dinner when I'm in Aruba.

If you're coming here for steak, RUN!! After a day of sun and fun we were starving and ready to eat. In my opinion, claims of fine dining applies only to the atmosphere and not the food. The medium cooked steak we requested was half rare while the other half was well done. The explanation to this was that their steaks are cooked vertically. The vegetables were crunchy and undercooked. Unfortunately, the wait for our food was very long and in the end not worth it. On top of the steak not being done to our liking, it tasted very chewy so we decided to send it back. At this point, we'd realized that the problem wasn't our steak knives, the steak was simply not prepared properly which resulted in a chewy texture. The manager was very understanding and tried to offer a different entree but we'd lost our appetite at this point. The waiter offered great customer service but when it comes to their steaks, Chalet Suisse needs to either take it off the menu, retrain their chef(s), or start buying from a different vendor.

Truly an outstanding restaurant. We have been coming to Aruba since 1979 and we went to Chalet Suisse the year it first opened (around 1991). We have had just about every dish on the menu and they are all outstanding. Rudy and Benny are the outstanding hosts. The staff .most of whom have been there since the opening of the restaurant) are pleasant, efficient, friendly and helpful. This restaurant is a must on your visit to Aruba
