Not very good had BBQ platter plenty of nontasty BBQ Barney needs to take lesson in Texas service was confused & slow $60 usd for lowest grade BBQ I ever had order a beer and got a $ 5 pony. Sorry Barney only thing I can truly say is you suck.
All got can eat ribs. Loved filling up the "bone bucket".
2016: We went on Monday, fajita night, the grouper fajitas were delicious! Others in our party enjoyed the beef & chicken fajitas as well. The crab cake appetizers were tasty too. All in all a great choice!!!
2017: Another great dinner at Barney's! Would have been much cooler with a fan or the A/C running overall a fun spot for a group and very attentive server Rico!
Early dinner at Barneys on 9/4. Nico was our server. He was very attentive and courteous and we had a lovely dinner. She had the AYCE grouper fajitas and I tried the seafood linguine. Both very good. We got to meet Elene, lovely and friendly co-owner, after dinner. Barneys is warm and inviting, good food at reasonable prices.
Amazing dinner!!! Great selection, great service..
Four of us ate here on our first night in Aruba. It had a lot of promise when we pulled up. A nice classic neon sign, and funky decor inside. But the food was so so. We had ribs, which like other reviews said, were a little tough. My son had the chicken skewers which were smothered rather than drizzled in peanut sauce. My daughter got the fajitas. Not sure how they were seasoned, but they did not taste like traditional fajitas. But the topper for us was the music. For an hour we were bombarded with song after song from this horrid, pre Beatles, early sixties time period. The really schmaltzy Days of Wine and Roses/ .Theme From Dr. Kildare kind of stuff. Rather than pump the place up, it left us feeling like we were dining in a senior home. Our server was very nice and arranged a cab for us at the end of the meal, but there was not much to recommend here.
Very reasonably priced tasty food. They have all you can eat nights which if you can eat lots will be great value.
Had dinner there tonight. Can't say enough positive things.
We received undivided attention. The food was superior along with the service. The owner came over to us twice. Her and her partner run a CLEAN TIGHT SHIP. Food pricing and service was super excellent. We'll be here until 5/13 and plan to visit at least twice more. Look for special " ALL YOU CAN EAT NIGHTS"
A great place for bbq ribs, fish, burgers and more. Came on all you can eat rib night. Had 3 racks and was stuffed. Needed a bit more sauce, but they were cooked very well. The burgers are a build-your-own style, with great toppings. Nice beer selection as well as friendly staff.
Great food, service, and hemisphere, highly recommend
Very nice pub/bar well worth finding. There were four of us for dinner - had fresh catch, chicken alfredo, beef tips and shrimp scampi. All were good. We really appreciated the fresh vegetables, salad and baked potato.
Fantastic food, would have given 5 stars if the food came out sooner. It took about an hour for the food to come out
This is one of those slightly off-the-beaten-path places (walkable from the high rise hotels) that most tourists never find; it's mostly patronized by Dutch locals during the after dinner hours, I find. Barney's is clean and well cared for. We go here multiple times during each visit to Aruba. The food is always greatalways. I've never found the place to be crowded, just steady. The owners (Ron and Eline) are lovely people from Holland, and are always present in the bar/dining area. The bar area gets a wee bit smoky (again, after dinner hours), but the front doors are always openvery tolerable, really.
Barney's is just an all-around, great low-key place to hang out and eat/ drink. Meal portions are on the larger side, and drinks are never weak.
(Do yourself a favor, and order something with grouper)
Prices are reasonable, even compared U.S. restaurants. This being Aruba, is no small feat.
We're headed down to Aruba again this SaturdayBarney's is the first place we head after getting settled in.
