  🇺🇸No one really knows the exact meaning of the name "Aruba". Some say "oro hubo" which means "there was gold" in Spanish. Others think Aruba's name comes from the Indian word "oruba" meaning "well placed". Yet another possible derivation of the name is from two Carib Indian words "ora" meaning "shell", and "oubao" meaning "island".

Otros piensan que el nombre de Aruba proviene de la palabra India "Oruba" que significa "bien colocada".
