The Walk-in Specialist Emergency Clinic is staffed by Specialist Emergency Physicians. Emergency medicine is a recognised speciality within medicine where the focus is on immediate diagnosis, resuscitation and treatment of patients with an acute medical condition. Our Specialist Emergency Physicians known also as FACEMs (Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine) have completed specialist training and passed their Fellowship or ‘Consultant’ Exam in Emergency Medicine. Our Specialist Emergency physicians continue to work in local Trauma and Emergency Departments across Sydney. A WiSE emergency doctor may also be a Specialist General Practioner who has at least 5 years experience in emergency departments.
