Zonzo has beautiful scenery and outdoor atmosphere but that's about where it ends. All of the rooms were incredibly loud so it was really difficult to have a proper conversation with people in your group. On their menus it states $50 per person for antipasto and pizzas, with a group of 4 of us we ate until we were all full, which was an antipasto, bread, a rocket salad and 3 pizzas. The food was quite good however upon examining the menus we found out that we had been over changed by $60. After bringing it up with the wait-staff we were directed to the manager. The manager told us irregardless of 'if' we had been overcharged they will not refund us or offer anything in compensation. Furthermore in order to discuss our 'concerns' it would have to be brought to "head office" and we would have to contact them despite the fact we were at the restaurant at that time. The manager was rude and inflexible in regards to managing clients expectations, through she was not surprised and understood the situation she was "sorry [that we] felt this way". We will not be visiting Zonzo again as this experience has left a bad taste in our mouths.

Service was horrible and the wait staff were rude. We had a seating for 1.5 hours and the lady looking after our table came up to us every 15 minutes to remind us of how much time we had left due to a wedding that they had to prepare directly after us. The kitchen also wouldn't make certain foods for us on the menu such as a salad because "it would take too long to make" as they were expecting the bridal party to show up in the next half hour and that was their priority. The food that we could have without troubling the kitchen was nice and although the venue looks appealing it was extremely noisy. Disappointed to say the least.

Zonzo was a bit underwhelming. The place has a lovely look and feel, but there were a few too many elements that just didn't fire.
The wait staff were friendly, but inexperienced (hey guys, kids don't need wine glasses, and if you're going to ask how the meal is, try doing it AFTER we've tried the food!).
The Pinot Noir was really nice, but no-one seemed interested in bringing another bottle, or selling us some as we left.
The pizzas were pretty good, but the beef cheeks a waste of good meat, they were insipid and unseasoned (and reading the other reviews, it looks like this is a common complaint!).
Overall, this place felt like it was running on autopilot.response / report this review -

Very disappointing place. It is a pity that having a stunning location the food and service were so bad. Waiters seemed to in their first day shift. We got ourselves menus as none offer them and after a 30 min wait we finally got to order. They took our food order with our table full of plates and glasses from the previous customers, an we even had to ask them to clear them up. It was not that busy, it was inefficient and inexperienced service. The pizza was average and half cooked, the quality of the antipasti ingredients was poor The wine was good. I wouldn't recommend it, there are plenty of better lunch options in the Yarra Valley.

Zonzo Estate is one of the best venues we’ve had the pleasure of working with for weddings in the Yarra Valley region.
Each time we’ve performed at Zonzo, you can see the care and attention to detail focused towards the client and their guests. The venue decor is beautiful, the staff are so professional and friendly, and the food is to die for!
Special mention must be made to Brianna & Lauren for being one of the loveliest event managers we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. When we have a gig booked at Zonzo our entertainment team know that it’s going to be a 10/10!

Fantastic day at Zonzo. Amazing views and venue. Best pizzas in the Yarra Valley. The lamb slow cooked in wine was to die for. Great service and all the staff were very accommodating. Tried the new Zonzo lager, great flavour, highly recommended. The Zonzo pinot was the perfect wine for our meal. Would highly recommend you to go to Zonzo.

Great day out, great location, great views and a relaxed environment. The menu offers a wide variety of Italian inspired dishes. What ever we tried was mouth watering!

Such an amazing winery! The food is incredible, we loved everything we ate: their pizzas, arancini, lamb and gnocchi, and their wines are superb 👌 Gorgeous venue and views, truly a spectacular estate!

As the owner of an entertainment company it's rare that we find venues who are exceptionally nice to all of there suppliers. We DJ'd there back on the 23rd of December last year for Daniella & Dom and the staff were absolutely wonderful to deal with. Lauren from the weddings events team was both accommodating and easy to talk to over the phone, and the function staff were equally as nice. We could not recommend this venue more highly to anyone thinking about having their wedding at Zonzo. We had their arrancini, pizza and slow cooked beef cheeks and they were all great! Amazing views as well. It was quite crowded so probably a good idea to make reservations.
