Properly elaborated shusi. Fresh ingredients and well cooked rice. Unbeatable quality for the price.

Outstanding and authentic Japanese food, in a pleasant, unpretentious shop about a 15 minute walk from Macrossan St.

The Gyoza was delicious, and made from scratch. Sushi and sashimi were ultra fresh, and as good as any I have had in Australia. Nice selection of sake and Japanese beer. Staff are delightful. charming and attentive. This is the real deal. Not to be missed!

Takeaway also available. Book ahead, especially for peak dining times.

I wish google had the ability to give a minus 10 rating because I would give them negative 8, they gain 2 stars, 1 for the teriyaki pork meat portion only and 1 star for the lobster salad ship these two items I will admit were nice. But the rest of my meal was without a doubt the worst Japanese food I have ever had. My teriyaki pork dish which cost twenty dollars came with a little bit of meat, and rice in a tiny bowl, the rice wasn't even Japanese sushi rice, it was Woolworth's homebrand rice (who the hell goes to a Japanese restaurant to eat Woolworth plain rice), no rice wine vinegar, no flavoring at all just plain watery rice. My meal also came with a bowl of Miso soup, witch was just plain awful, watery flavorless and had chunks of carrot in it, alas the carrot too was flavorless. I left my $20 meal half eaten and still hungry but I couldn't stomach another bite. If you like Japanese food do yourself a favor NEVER EVER EAT HERE.

This is a very authentic Japanese restaurant with exceptionally high quality food.
It's a simple casual restaurant with a great relaxed atmosphere, it's like eating in a Japanese local restaurant in Japan, with the best tasting Japanese food I have come across outside Japan at a reasonable price : )
