  Hass Avocado trees are back in stock and they are huge!

  Who doesn't love the amazing avocado, and with a little care these amazing fruits can be grown successfully in Adelaide. They will thrive in a warm, frost-free position and good drainage is critical. Avocado's despise 'wet feet', so improve drainage if you have heavy clay soil with gypsum and compost prior to planting or consider planting your avocado tree on a slope or small mound. While establishing it is a good ide...a to offer the developing tree a little protection from the intense summer sun and hot winds, this can be easily achieved if you can set up a climate shelter or 'hoochi', where three stakes are placed around the tree and covered with shade cloth to protect the tree for the first year or two, once established this can be removed.

  Persimmon's are back in stock.

  Persimmon's are known as 'the fruit of the Gods' by the Greeks for very good reason.

  Rich in both colour and flavour, the deep orange exterior seems to add to the fruits sweetness. The 'Fuyu' Persimmon produces fruit that is medium to large in size and possess layers of flavour, reminiscent of Pear, Peaches, Dates and Brown Sugar. Their texture varies from crisp and succulent when just ripe, to a tender and rather gelatinous texture as they ...mature. Fuyu is a non astringent Persimmon, meaning it can be eaten straight from the tree while crisp.

  The Persimmon tree itself is one of the most beautiful of all fruiting trees. It is a small to medium size graceful tree with spectacular Autumn foliage, followed by highly decorative orange fruit, make it a standout in an ornamental garden or small orchard.

  Will grow best in full sun in well drained soil and will benefit from plenty of compost/animal manure dug into the soil prior to planting.
