  It's ok but not great. My wife and I had lunch here. They cooked her chips properly but somehow mine were under done (not sure why they didn't cook them together). They were happy enough to take it back and finish cooking them. Also my chips were $9 and it's a pretty small plate for the price. Still my burger was nice and my wife liked her food too. It's ok, but there are other places we'll go to in the future. Staff were friendly which was nice.

  Had to wait to order because owner/cook wasn't on premise.
  Ordered poached eggs with hash browns and bacon. Received poached eggs with some 'potato gems' no bacon and it was all liberally splashed with sweet chilli sauce??? No refund offered for the bacon which was a $4 extra.
  Not a good experience.

  On Friday 17/2/23 I dined at Vanilla Cafe in Lithgow, and I had the lemon pepper fish, with the Vanilla salad. This was the best fish I have had for a long time. The pepper flavour was tremendous, and the salad is the best ever, with slight changes and additions each time it is served. I will definitely be having this fish again.

  This cafe needs better trained staff or more staff on the floor. The food was nice, however the service was terrible.
  
  When we ordered we asked the staff to read back our order to us. She missed the soy milk for our drinks. We are lactose intolerant and can’t have dairy. We waited an hour for our drinks.
  When I asked if we could get them to go the staff blamed the server and said she didn’t even know our order. After waiting longer our drinks came & was missing one of our coffees that we paid for and they tasted like dairy. We just left instead of waiting any longer. There was no apology for the wait or delays.
  Another group of people waited for 15 mins at the counter just to be served.

  Food is good but could have been better the people are really nice but most of all there coffee is the better i recomend there coffee, smoothies, juices etc

  Good food and good service. If I have to be picky The chips were to small for a $20 steak sandwich (see pics attached)
  Also they lost a star because the chairs are poorly designed and when you go to tuck your feet under the chair you smash your ankles and that hurts.
  None the less I would still recommend and would return (allbeit with boots on ;)
