Extremely disappointed in this company I have had two Gem 4 S in the last two years, service has always been good, however three weeks ago I accidentally dropped it and broke it
I contacted the company to purchase a new one, paid for it and was told that it may take ten days before I received it
Three weeks after the purchase, still no alarm, contacted the company to ask why I haven’t received it? To then be told that they have a back log of orders and no supplies, that they can’t give me a delivery date. Why they were not forthcoming about the supply issue in the first place and didn’t have the courtesy to inform me I find very dissatisfied
As my wife is vision impaired I rely on my alarm to notify the ambulance when and if I have a heart problem or collapse
Went for a job here, the lady looked like she fell out of an op shop bin! Led all through the interview tells me I will have an answer in a few days, I call up a week later, and I'm told they haven't made a decision.. it's been over a month, that boat has sailed.. as an allied health professional.. communication is paramount
We started with a personal alarm from a different company - the one recommended by a famous testing magazine. The first unit lasted 13 months, the second we gave up. These egg-shaped devices' batteries never lasted a whole day and relied on dialling our family.
We then went to Tunstall and what a difference. The devices (we ended up with two types out of excess caution after a fall) worked faultlessly (almost - see below) and are a step up in quality of machine and sound/reception.
The biggest difference is having the call centre. Always happy to take a test call. Experienced with aged care they have the skills and patience and phone manner to help Mum. That is worth gold, but something you cannot express in a brochure.
I have often heard that you can tell a good company, not by being faultless, but by how they react when things go wrong.
The charger on the desktop unit was faulty, meaning the red light was flashing, and the unit verbally gave a fault alarm (impressive) . The call centre was also notified.
With no working charger the unit had 2 or 3 days of battery. They not only sent a replacement power supply without delay (or much explanation needed) but they also offered to set up regular "welfare calls" just to check mum was ok. WOW! that is five stars.
Do not hesitate to choose Tunstall. If you do and really are not happy, then I am prepared to give you a refund myself. That is how happy I am.
Recently had 2 experiences with Tunstall concerning my 93 year old Dad. The two different members of staff I dealt with, NATASHA in Brisbane and LISA in New Zealand, were both absolutely excellent!!!🙏🙏 They were both so kind, calm and reassuring. They kept me updated frequently throughout the two situations. Just one suggestion Could the personal alarms possibly be fitted with a louder volume speaker and/or an alarm for the wearer to hear? Despite wearing hearing aids, my Dad is still very hard of hearing. The second time Tunstall received an alert following him pressing his personal alarm was actually by mistake but he didn't hear the Tunstall staff member calling him via the alarm to see if he was conscious. Consequently, he received a surprise visit from 2 Paramedics in their ambulance! Thank you again to those 2 wonderful ladies!!! 🌹🌹
Fantastic monitoring centre staff that are always so helpful and patient. Definately recommend Tunstall for home monitoring
