great staff.
Great place to stay
This was second time staying in the Nature Lodge and with the latest improvements, it was a even more enjoyable stay. It was a great base for us once again, to get around the GOR and do all the sight seeing for the 8 days we stayed down here. The kids loved the open space and enjoyed feeding the pigs every night and morning. Plus the views of the Otways while having a cuppa around sunset was my personal favourite thing to do. Thankyou Josh and Celine for your hospitality, advice and answering the 100s of questions my youngest son hadhaha .We hope to see you again once were in your neck of the woods
Experience was horrible. The male that owns the property was barely willing to take phone calls and certain details weren't discussed with us. Got charged for 3 nights, only stayed 2 - never got told it would be the same price.
Amazing
Nice spot, run by friendly couple. My kids enjoyed bottle feeding the lambs, and hand feeding the goats. Accommodation is fairly basic/budget, but with very comfy beds in the Country Cottage, and nice to have a fire in the September evenings. No heating, so pretty cold in the mornings (we lit the gas hob and oven to warm the place). Kitchen is old & basic but functional, & I reckon anything you need you could ask the owners.
Nice to sit on the veranda in the evening sun.
The house sits next to a fairly busy main road, but the noise wasn't too bad and didn't bother us.
Forrest is only a 15 minute drive (great for mountain bike trails), and Apollo Bay is easily within reach for a trip to the beach (30mins drive). Also can drive to Otway Fly in 40mins.
I'd go back, especially if the beach wasn't the focus of the holiday - or if we wanted to do more mountain biking - Forest is amazing for that!
