Giant Stairs are not for the faint of heart.
Beautiful spot for a visit, however, if it's rainy, the fog will roll in and you won't be able to see the Sisters.
Make sure you plan your walk: take plenty of water, some dried fruits and nuts. Wear proper gear and prepare for cold conditions.
The walk down in the valley is gorgeous via the Giant Stairs. It definitely makes a person feel small down amongst the prehistoric rain forests.
Please allow two hours (to 2.5 hours) to get to the railway, from the top. The estimated time on the signs are extremely conservative!
On the way back up via Furber Steps, how gorgeous is this section! It was my first time walking back up, it was hard going so take your time, catch your breath and rest a lot.

Visited here in March, 2020.
This is located a little far from the downtown of Sydney, but around 1 hour of train journey can take us there. Also train systems are seemingly well operated and they focus on usability for foreign tourists, thus it's not difficult at all to get there.
After getting the nearest station from this Mountain, bus or taxi can be used go there. In my case, I chose taxi, which cost about 10 dollars.
As for this Blue Mountains, the views are totally superb and amazing and I was sure they were beyond what we had expected them to be.
Nature spots boasting about sceneries often disappoint us a little bit based on my experiences. But it is not the case here.
Everything I saw here including a famous icon "three sisters" was literally impressive. I wonder how three sisters were formed over centuries.
I wish I had spent some time on studying the field of geography and related history beforehand.response / report this review -

I've always loved the three sisters. I have great childhood memories here and now my kids love it too. Cold though so rug up when you go. It might be warm weather but you'd be surprised when you get here!

Great lookout, it also worth it to take the short walk to Katoomba falls. It's an easy track with just a few steps. Return shall not take more than 45/60 Min.

Loved the view! Not as crowded as I thought it would be. Lots of items at the souvenir shops. Not a lot of food options though, but you have to try the donuts at the milkbar, they're good!

It gives a scenic view of blue mountains and cliff named three sisters. Couple of aboriginal stories associated with it. Great place to have long walks around the cliff.

The Three Sisters is a great place to visit with top views, but it is hampered by poor parking facilities.
There are multiple places to view the rock formations, though, so you're never stuck for a place to look.
The walk down to the rock themselves is pleasant but if you proceed down to the seating area at the base of the first Sister, be warned - it's a very steep descent and then ascent on the stairway when you return!!response / report this review -

Exciting walk for prepared hikers. Those who are not prepared should avoid the Giant Stairway as we noticed they caused a difficult bottle neck trying to return up the very narrow stairs and were not expecting to complete the full walk. The Stairway is very narrow so you need to be very mobile. I recommend that you travel down the Giant Stairway and return via Furber Steps or the steepest railway. Steps are also very short and steep so physical agility helps. If you are not able to walk without assistance I would not recommend this walk to you as it can be very slippery. The view point at the top of 3 sisters at the info center instead is very beautiful and the entire valley is stunning to view from there.

A nice tourist attraction to view the beauty of the Blue Mountains. Make sure you do the walk to the three sisters and also the stairs that take you below them. The climb back is hard and you will be panting for breath every couple of minutes.

Spectacular to look at. The Three Sisters are best enjoyed in the evening, as the evening sun lights them up just right. Several walking tracks start here. Parking directly at the lookout in the car park is limited to 2 hours. However, if you don't mind walking a few minutes, parking further up the road is free and unlimited. Recommend this option for everyone who is planning to start a longer a from here.

The Three Sisters is the most visited location in the Blue Mountains, located at Echo Point this breathtaking mountain attraction is visited by millions of people every year. Echo point also has some amazing bush walking tracks, that take you down to and below the three sisters rock formations.
The Three Sisters gets its name from Aboriginal folk law which believes the rock formations were three sisters once turned to stone thousands of years ago.response / report this review -

This is the place everybody visit if they blue mountains. Normally if u park near the place you have to pay. But you're lucky if you can find parking near three sisters. Anyhow less than half kilometres down the road near residents area we found parking and also for free. This place is always crowded but you can find a nice place after few minutes to enjoy the view and take photos.

Really pretty. Great place to visit from Sydney because you can actually use your Opal card to visit here. If you travel on Sunday, you can basically make this a day trip for $2.50! It's nice place to visit if you want to get away from busy city lifestyle to get in touch with nature.
