I went to the mint bar last night and I would hardly call it the type of environment suitable for what you would call a restaurant. You walk in and are immediately surrounded by drunks and it is almost impossible to get to the bar. You are surrounded by drunks while you are trying to eat your meal and to go to the bathroom you have to climb over more drunks to get there and back. It felt more like a night club than a bar and restaurant. A place like this needs larger spaces and separate areas for diners and patrons there to get wasted on booze

Always draws a massive after work crowd on a Friday. Just that alone tells you it is pretty good place to chill. Staff are friendly.

I came year about a year and a half ago and it was good pub food, but still pub food. I don't know of they've changed chef or owner, but today I had the duck special and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best duck dishes I've ever had.

The pea purée was extremely flavourful and contrasted well with the meaty, tender duck, the crispy potatoes and minted bread crumbs on top with a little bit of gravy on the side.

My only niggle would be that I like my duck skin a little crispier, but other than that, it was a great pub lunch and definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a better quality Friday lunch.

Good food and drink, however the majority of places to have a drink are a smoking area. The food service in the restaurant is absolutely woeful - we were basically ignored.
