Worst restaurant in Berry. Waitress had massive attitude and gave service even poorer than the food. Even the table water was gross and undrinkable. Go at your own peril.

Not at all recommended. Food is poor.

The lady on the counter absolutely not acceptable behaviour!

Laughs at customer if asked for a special request. And rudely asks for customer to make their mind.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Most disappointing meal I've ever received, cost me $22 for the big breakfast which was incredibly expensive for the disappointment I received, waited 15min to be served at the counter aswell with very few customers. Meal came with a single slice of tomato, absolutely ridiculous. My partner received his eggs Benedict drowned in hollandaise sauce also with one slice of tomato. Horrible service, whole place seemed depressing. I didn't understand the point of the numbers if you go around to every table and ask who ordered each drink? Don't waste your money or your time, horrible place.

The display cabinet looked appealing and we ordered a Salmon and Asparagus "Quichette" and a Tandoori Chicken Wrap. The customer service was rushed but efficient at first, however, the food was really quite revolting. The quichette had a piece of smoked salmon on top but inside, tinned salmon had been used, the egg was watery and runny and the pastry tough. The "salad" it was served with was mixed leaves- all of which were wilted and 3 pieces of capsicum. The salad was doused in a very thick, white substance I was later rudely told was a 'dressing' but was in fact reminiscent of mayonnaise. When he charged me $30 for the two meals, I asked how much the quichette had cost and was told he had 'not made up' the $18 he had charged me. A bit of a wrought for a truly crappy lunch.

Wouldn't eat here again. The food isn't bad for what it is. The burger patty was nice and tasted homemade but that's the best thing I could say about it. The water jugs and glasses brought out weren't clean and the service was uninspiring. This is a basic fish n chip shop pretending to be something fancier and it's not fooling anyone.

Where do I start? The worst cafe I have ever been to! The guy working there greeting me with a grunttold me he was too busy to make a smoothy.
We waited over half an hour for our food. My husband's toast was burnt and my daughters toast wasn't cooked at all. All of the eggs were under cooked. I chose not to eat as I am pregnant and didn't want to risk it. My other daughters food came out after everyone else had finished. She said her pancakes were "Disgusting"how can you get pancakes wrong? I took my daughters untouched under cooked eggs and toast back and again the man grunted. There was no offer of the food being recooked or any offer of a refund. The place isn't cheap either! close to $80 bucks for food that gave us the runs. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! there is an amazing bakery next door. Should have gone back there.

Its actually called The Hub in Berry..
The guy is happy for you to stand there and order from the blackboard then charges you the sit in prices and hands you a table number to sit at a table and the prices he charges for sitting in doesn't mean fresh produce. Overheard a few table complaining about freshness!!

The chalkboard menu is the takeaway menu with takeaway prices. We were not told that to sit and eat would cost us an arm and a leg. When I questioned the price, I was told "the board is takeaway only". Total ripoff. DO NOT EAT THERE

Terrible. Very indictment on this gorgeous town, food virtually thrown at table no "who's having the nachos!" just chucked at the table with a crash. The woman is the worst! Go elsewhere, do not eat here!

My experience of lunch at the Country Rooster was like an episode of Fawlty Towers!
Today while visiting beautiful Berry we stopped here for lunch, what a mistake. My wife & I found a seat in the shade then decided what to order, Ii went inside to place the order and was met by a surly older bloke who's greeting was a dry "Yes", I placed the order, he said $37.50. No please or thank you. I collected the change but no smile, nod or acknowledgement of any kind. It was like dealing with Lurch from the Adams family.
After a while out came our drinks delivered by a younger fellow who took the menu with him, coffee for me (not very nice but tolerable) and a caramel milkshake for my wife (shame she ordered a chocolate shake). The older gent came along a while later and placed cutlery on the table along with our menu back! After a while our lunch arrived, me a burger & chips for $16 (burger was OK but chips were dripping with oil) and my wife had vegetarian Nachos (she ordered beef but was happy with the vegetarian because she said due to the poor service there is probably less chance of food poisoning), the younger bloke who delivered our food also removed the menu again!!! (whats the go with the menu?)
Cutlery was dirty, service was non existent, food was poor at best, no one there smiled, said please or thank you, in fact a lady seated near us came over and commented to us about the extremely poor service and lack of personality of the staff, wished us luck with our lunch and left.
Please do yourself a favour and don't bother, there are plenty of café's around Berry that are happy to provide service and good food to customers.
