  Great, gourmet meals at fairly standard Canberra prices. The restaurant is beautiful and interesting, and you really feel like you have stepped back in time when you enter the cottage! Service was friendly and all meals came quickly without feeling rushed.

  Christmas in July dinner was excellent. Entree, main and dessert plus bread roll and coffee for $65. There was a choice of 3 fantastic dishes each course. Service was the usual high standard and the atmosphere was cozy and festive. I have always enjoyed eating here no matter what time of the year.

  Service was ordinary. She wasn't really happy to serve us.
  
  Portion for dessert is too big. Waitress should have informed us of the portion size and that we could have probably shared one with 4 people but instead misled us to order 4 separate desserts. We won't come back! Sorry!

  Something a bit different to the usual Canberra Restaurant. The food is not always to my tastes but the guys are always willing to come up with something if necessary.
  The food is always well presented and tasty. Service is attentive and helpful with out asking you if everything is ok every 5 minutes.
  
  The restaurant is situated in a 'historic' homestead, meaning the ceiling is low (taller folks will need to duck when exiting the back door), heating is via an open fire and cooling is via Fans and a wall mounted AC, not always the greatest but adds to the charm :-)
  
  Price is on par with most other local restaurants, cheaper than Poachers Pantry, about the same as La Scala, so reasonable.
  
  I recommend you give them a try.
