Do not pass through Coonawarra without stopping in to see Luke and Bec at The Blok. Award winning Riesling and current vintage Shiraz and Cabernet is 2010! Value plus for superb Coonawarra wines.

This little rustic winery produces some of the best reds in the region (if not South Australia). Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through Coonawarra.
Highly recommended the 2010 Shiraz if you're lucky enough to have it available.

We hadn't heard of The Blok before arriving in the Coonawarra, and after looking at the cheapish prices (comparatively) were not expecting a lot. I'm happy to say we were very wrong - we purchased more wine here than at all the other wineries combined!
Add to the great wines, the fantastic service & conversation while tasting, and I couldn't give this winery a higher recommendation.
