Very interesting place. Gives great background of the holocaust and the Children’s memorial is very emotional.
This building looks ordinary from outside ,but in side is quite spectacular. I was inpressed by the modern design. White wall means it has good natural light.
The holacaust exhibits told personal stories. These stories were made real and personal by the tour guide Peter. (Hope I remember his name) . Take the guided tour as this is most enlighning.
We visited the cafe twice on our visit. Good food for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
Staff were very attentive.
We saw a person who was disabled that needed help with stairs who was helped to get to all areas by staff .
My friend was feeling unwell, the staff looked after her so I was able to continue the tour and get the full benefits of the stories of survivors.
Well worth a visit allow enough time for the tour and the cafe.
Fantastic
Very well organised
Much bigger than I expected
Visitors should spend about 3 hours there and be prepared to cry
Amazing museum. The volunteers were exceptional and the history and knowledge was profoundly moving. Such a beautiful experience to meet Lottie.
Great display, really informative. The section dedicated to children in particular really hits you if you read the stories. Friendly staff and volunteers more than willing to share their knowledge and personal family histories. We were there for 5 hours, well worth the visit.
Very interesting. Upper floor talks about the families that sent their children abroad to save them during the Holocaust and lost contact for years (or forever). Another room is dedicated to all the heroes that helped hide people, or helped refugees to be legally and socially accepted in their countries (including Australia).
Absolutely excellent! So informative and touching, a great way to spend an afternoon. Our guide Stella was absolutely incredible! I can't believe someone so articulate and passionate can run such an in depth tour with such gusto without even being paid for the amazing work she does! Absolutely fantastic museum, will definitely be back.
Very historical. Smaller museum than the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC but it's a nice place to learn about Australia's Jewish history. Definitely going to visit this museum again when I come back to Sydney/Australia.:')
Bad structured in my view. Exhibition ist partly not put in a logical and time-oriented order.
Not all facts are given, not all kind of witnesses' stories are mentioned.
Fantastic museum with informative guides and a great display of artefacts and interactive displays. Definitely worth a visit.
Interesting insights. Whether you belong to the Jewish community or not, you'll find interesting things to learn about.
Great place to learn about the history of the Australian Jewish community. Undergoing renovations that should be done by the end of 2016.
