Found out I lost my baby after was told to wait for 5 hours at emergency.
Extremely under staff, no skill in dianogsing which is urgent and which is non-urgent and lack of facilty. Heard the rumor for a long time and this was my first time experiencing it. I went there around 6pm in queue and at the triage at 7pm because I had some discharge during my pregnancy for a few days (I already called and asked for advice from a registered nurse who told me to do so). They put me as non-urgent and expect me to wait for 5 hours. Yep a pregnant lady was expected to wait for up to 5 hours from 7-8pm throughout the night on a chair that not meant for people to sit for hours. You should have better facilities in the waiting room to make patients feel comfortable at least. I went and asked the nurse if I can be treated earlier because I'm pregnant and I feel very unwell and will not be able to sit there throughout the night, she said noone want to sit there and wait so I only have 2 options either wait throughout the night or go home, it's my choice. I decided to go home after 2-3 hours of waiting and the nurse said if I feel worse, come back. I asked her that I already feeling unwell, I come back and wait for another 5 hours? She said I might wait less if I will be more serious - this was how I know they treated me as non-urgent. I then left, went home and praying to God my baby is doing fine. I saw all the parents with kids was taken as priority. I guess it was because if the baby-died-in-their-emergency-room incident happened last year or so. Very sad when I'm carrying a child and I was not treated seriously. I hope they will change the way they look at pregnant woman as carrying a human being which is no different to a parent taking their kids before another incident happens again to any pregnant woman 😔
The morning after, I went for an ultrasound and found out that I lost my baby. It is devastating! Very hard time for us. I don't expect this to happen with anyone and if only the emergency showed more care 🥺

When you need to go to the closest hospital to see someone urgently due to a possible kidney problem, you’d expect you would see someone as soon as possible and not wait for over 4 hours, in pain, sweating, tired etc. When I finally did see a nurse she put a IV in me as well as taking my blood and urine. I had to wait a bit more before finally going into the emergency section. I couldn’t see a doctor for like 2-3 hours. One doctor came in and said she would be back but never did. They lost my urine sample and I had to repeat it later on. I could get any sleep when I was admitted into a shared ward with 20 beds. Noises going off, not getting checked for hours on end. Didn’t get an iv drip until like midnight. By then it was through a syringe as they ran out of the proper iv drip machines. Didn’t get much sleep at all and asked if I could be transferred to another room but they don’t have private rooms. We than had to try to be transferred to another hospital by asking our doctor after hours.

If there was zero stars I’d choose it. Don’t go here. Go to another hospital

Hospital & Staff👌👌👌- they fixed us

Staff were friendly, accessed us and prioritised us sufficiently. Patients that were worse than us, got seen too quicker - that’s the only way it should be. We were treated and released with all the follow up information we needed.

Way too many complaints on google about waiting times. They will get to you as quick as they can, using the priority scale.

Hats off to all the staff they are there doing the best they can with the staff, budget and equipment they have available to them. 👌👌👌👌

Thanks for being there for us all when we need you guys, which is generally at our worst and most emotionally.
