One of largest biryani chains of Pakistan. Superior quality rice with some premium cut lamb. I really like the lamb biryani. They specifically pic pieces with some body fat on it. That simply enhances the flavour of the dish

Serving size is huge. You can literally eat one box in two parts. Taste is great, value of money is good

The salad and raita served are good . There is a huge variety of menu

I used to like this place but the quality has dropped substantially. Every time I ask for the cheese naan NOT TO HAVE TOO MUCH CHEESE and every time they load it up with cheese to the point where it's disgusting. The biryani used to be good but now smells weird and tastes lifeless and stale. Overall the food has become dull and old tasting.

Ordered chicken biryani and mango lassi from The Student Biryani Surry Hills. Biryani quantity was a lot and it also tasted really good. Mango lassi is my favourite. Price wise it’s worth it. 👍🏻

Student Biryani located on Surry Hills definitely deserves the hype and praise it deserves, firstly the Biryani is fresh and the chicken is soft and flavourful and authentic, the Naan is fluffy and fresh while also having the perfect amount of Garlic on them, the staff are really friendly and attentive and the dining area while being slightly outdated is clean and comfortable. The prices here at Student Biryani are also really low a chicken biryani only cost $12 while the average price is around $16. A MUST visit when in Sydney

Been wanting to try this for a while and we finally did today. Got the chicken biryani $12 and lamb biryani $14. Waited outside 15mins or so for them. The portions were generous with lots of rice. However whilst it was spicy there wasn't much of a flavour. They're quite oily too. We had better biryani nearby so won't be coming back unfortunately.
