  The Sofitel is a great hotel. Fantastic views over Melbourne. Very comfortable room. King size bed. A good deal area to get work done. Fantastic restaurant. Great location in the CBD.

  Immaculate hotel the staff were very welcoming and helpful the rooms have everything you could possibly want and more. Very comfortable and clean. The club room with it's spectacular views great food, drinks and lovely staff is an added bonus to a wonderful stay. Definitely will be back.

  Fantastic room with wonderful views and friendly helpful staff. However, we do wish to mention something that irked us a great deal. The fridge in the room only had full cream milk which we do not drink. This was not a problem, we thought, as we could just ask for some skinny milk. The concierge was happy to oblige when the request was put to him but informed us that there would be a 4 dollar charge. To us, this was an absolutely basic service that we should not have had to pay for and leaves one with the feeling that the hotel is out to slug you for anything they possibly can. There are basic things that should simply be included in the price of a deluxe corner room for a couple who are staying two nights. A simple jug of skinny milk is a basic thing that should be part of tea and coffee making facilities. Of- course, 4 dollars is nothing to pay really but being asked to pay it when you believe it is basic and should be a simple service was very annoying. Does it colour how we feel about returning? Believe it or not, it does, No one likes to think they are being taken advantage of and that was exactly how we felt within 30 minutes of arriving.

  Drive way to main entrance rather congested. I believe traffic management needs improving. Check-in outstanding. Junior Suite lovely. Room Service excellent. Buffet Breakfast outstanding. Parts of the Hotel are beginning to look rather tired and need TLC / replacing. Nag Nag Nag - U NEED A POOL!!!! ( I understand this is heard all the time). WELL DONE FOR HAVING A DESIGNATED SMOKING FLOOR...... .

  My wife and I stayed in a Club Suite for a romantic weekend in Melbourne. The room was spacious, well-appointed and the Club Lounge was a wonderfully friendly and relaxing environment. From reception and throughout the hotel and Lounge, the staff were very attentive and friendly - everything was done with a smile. Manan, who was front of house in the Lounge, was wonderful and very welcoming. We dined at No.35 for dinners, which combined spectacular views of the city, exquisite food, and first class service. The weekend was a wonderfully romantic retreat in a well.

  From the minute we checked in, we knew we had made a good decision staying at the Sofitel on Collins. The check in staff were courteous and genuinely interested in what had brought us to Melbourne. I mentioned that we were there for my partners birthday which led to finding a bottle of sparkling wine in our room not long after. A nice surprise. The room was well equipped and the bed comfortable. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

  My son and I return each year and are addicted to the relaxation and luxury we feel when we arrive. He was blown away by how devoted and attentive the staff were. Even after we checked out he said "mum, they're still just as nice". We feel very special here. Best bed, best bath, best views. Thank you.

  Fantastic. We stayed for our wedding and were well looked after. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a gift from the hotel and also for our baby daughter - a lovely personal touch that we were extremely impressed by! Each staff member we spoke to was very attentive and kind, especially one of the managers in the restaurant (can't remember his name, but he was lovely to us)

  Just one night in the city for our wedding anniversary. Check in was easy, staff very friendly and professional. Buffet breakfast next morning was wonderful and again the staff were excellent and attentive. Check out was the simplest I have ever experienced. Just great.

  We try and stay at the Sofitel on Collins every year for our Anniversary and we keep coming back due to the great service, great food and great view. Although this year there were no staff we recognized from previous years, the standard is still the same with very friendly and helpful staff that make us feel valued and very welcome.
  There were a few noises in the room that could have been from the air conditioning or the like but it was nothing unbearable. All in all, another great stay for us and we will be back next year.

  A very nice building with excellent interior. Feels modern and quite posh. We went to the restaurant no 35. The views across the city were great, seeing out toward the port and South Melbourne. The food was excellent and very well presented. Let down was the service which was hit and miss. It was average if you compare it to the type of place it presents itself to be. Service for our table and the one next to us was very different and our bill was incorrect by just over 100 dollars, which let the overall experience down.

  Thank you for the A1 service.
  We came to celebrate our daughter's 25th birthday, by having the Breakfast Buffet.
  The service was splendid.
  There was a wide variety of food and drinks.
  Very clean.
  They even bought out a complimentary dessert for her.
  Just the ambience was soothing and relaxing, the view is amazing.
  No need to go overseas to experience what we have in our state!
  Well done Sofitel and thank you making our girl feel so special.
