We were so happy to get a booking with the covid restrictions. Given restrictions, a chef selection menu was running and everything was delicious. The octopus was a clear favourite.
Excellent service, had fish of the day which was duck fish. Three pieces cooked to perfection with a nice crispy batter along with house made tartare sauce and crinkle cut chips. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and anybody visiting Lakes Entrance.
Fabulous seafood restaurant the serves the freshest of locally-caught fish. Master chef Nick adjusts the menu daily depending on the day's catch as the restaurant holds a licence to purchase seafood directly from the boats.
We dined here twice during our week-long visit to Lakes Entrance. On the second night I was able to enjoy the King George whiting that was not available our prior visit. This fish (sans flour-coating) comes served in a delicate sauce. We also tried the scrumptious sesame prawn toasts & my husband was very pleased with his oysters.
Non-pescaroreans are also catered for at the restaurant - a great steak dinner available. This is a restaurant for tasting the foods - some may find the serving sizes small but we were completely satisfied with our portions & the quality of all dishes we tried.
The excellent service from the friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the items on the menu & the wines best suited to particular dishes simply enhanced our two dining experiences.
Return visits when we next travel to Lakes Entrance are definitely on the menu.
A "pretend" fine dining restaurant with almost fine dining prices but ordinary food (not bad, but not great either). How special can battered fish and fried frozen chips be? Serving sizes vary from small to average. Nice location on the Esplanade (it's a floating restaurant). Ambience is nothing special. It's OK if you don't mind above average costing fish & chips, which are, well, just fish & chips.
Beautiful restaurant on the sea front. Great selection of delicious seafood and steak, as well as wines and cocktails. Lovely place to stop by on the water, would recommend!👌
