My husband and I absolutely love this cafe / restaurant. The food is exceptionally good, being a chef myself I find allot of places are a let down, BUT this place is great. The works are very friendly, and they always find a spot for our pram. There big green breakfast is so delicious. Enjoy spending our Sunday mornings here.

My first visit to Kurrajong couldn't have gone better with the addition of Sassafras! My mum and I were both impressed; our food was delicious and the service was polite. We sat out the front in the sunny courtyard surrounded by blooms, and the waiter came and checked on us multiple times. I would have liked to have seen more variety on the lunch menu, perhaps providing a couple of options for vegetarians (as I ordered my food from the sides menu). I also don't recall seeing any meals that would cater for intolerances.

The food was so delicious! I had the gnocchi and my partner had the corn fritters with salmon. The staff were very polite and friendly. A very enjoyable experience plus a great view!

Now called The Kitchen. We were rather rudely told (at 10:50 am) that they were closed until they re-opened for lunch at midday, when their business hours on their Facebook page clearly stated that they are open between 11:30 and noon, NOT closed between 11:30 and midday, as we were told. The place was full of customers at the time. We will not be returning. The Sassafras Creek owners were miles better.

Walked here 45 min and arrived after they closed but the owner was a champ and stayed open longer making us feel like princesses and making us lovely drinks!

Good breakfast food Father's Day 2016, terrible service by restaurant MANAGER. Table-ed us out the front and promptly forgot about us. (Managers are suppose to walk ALL the floor!). There was Table service, but had to collect own menu after 5min. Orders taken in short 5min by waiter. No drinks for 30min, until he comes out to tell us our order was lost with no record. We Hesitantly reordered. Went to pay, waiter noting earlier delay 'removed' drinks charge. Double checked account later (unfortunately), ended up paying for the lot anyway. :-(

Love the views from the balcony and some great artwork around the walls. I've had some great meals here but a few that have missed the mark too. Good serving sizes and decent pricing.

We went here for lunch today, I'd visited before and had high expectations. My partner and I both had the spiced corn fritters with smoked salmon. My first through, after I pulled off the black hair was 'where's the corn?'
There must have been three kernels in the whole dish, and there was definitely no 'spice'.
Apart from the disappointing meal (needs re-naming!) the staff were friendly and attentive.
