Australia truly has a gap in the premium loose leaf tea market. That's why on March 15th, I put in an order to try out teas from a company with which I was unfamiliar.
A week later, not only do I not have that order, it hasn't even been sent.
This company's got an unacceptably low standard of customer service -- to the point where, if they didn't have their Google hours displayed, you would legitimately wonder if anyone even works there. After there was no update about the order for 3 days, I emailed to ask if they could tell me what was going on.
There was no response to this email for 2 days, and when it was responded to, the staff member said that they were following up on it, and would redirect the package using Australia Post if their vendor Sendle did not do it efficiently.
Two more days later, nothing's happened, and the delivery status still hadn't changed. Remember, I have never shopped with this company before, and this is the experience I'm having. I have recently made several purchases from independent Australian tea companies, all of which also seem to be based in Victoria. I've never had something like this happen and have been really happy with my recent discoveries about just what the growing Australian market for top-tier tea has to offer. Rujani Tea doesn't fit with this. As a customer, it feels like indifference, and as if the business is ungrateful to customers and that once money had been exchanged, the customer experience is irrelevant to the business.
The company is providing a good service to consumers in Australia who are looking for something more in the loose black tea market but, as a customer, I really don't think it's too much to expect that a business actually engages properly with customers when things go wrong, instead of placing the onus on the customer to sort out issues. As a first-time customer, I've gotten nothing from the transaction as of yet. They have the money, they respond when it suits them, and there's no tea to speak of. I'll probably arrange a refund through PayPal if this continues much longer, but no, I would not recommend this shop at all.
UPDATE: Today, 9 days after I placed the order with Rujani and 5 days after I asked via email what the status of the order was, I decided I was going to arrange a refund through PayPal. During the process, I checked my email on a whim, and there was an email from Rujani this afternoon, saying the tea had been picked up as the first stage of delivery. Yes, 9 days after the order, when I live in the next state over, the parcel is only just being picked up -- but it gets worse. Not only was the email not apologetic or empathetic in the least in terms of how afwul their customer service has been, they had the audacity to suggest in the email that I leave them a review online when I finally get the tea. I'm sorry, but at this point, it's just not enough to have a good product when this is your attitude to customers. When the customer has to contact you about where their order is, wait 2 days for a response, wait 5 more days to actually know where the package is, and not even get the sense that you understand how annoying this is for a customer, that is irrelevant. Hi I recieved the samples of your sorted tea. I had the green tea with my lunch it was beautiful and smooth and a lovely mellow taste. I will try the others over the next day or two, I am sure they Will taste every bit as good as the green tea.thank you so much for your help about what benefits and so forth . Rujani - Gold Tea is definitely bang for the buck! It’s gold, smooth, robust and rich in flavour that gets better with every sip. The aroma is absolutely refreshing at anytime of the day. I’d buy it again, eagerly waiting for the Gold - 2020. 5 Stars!

Beautiful single origin tea from a boutique Assam plantation. Good range of types, high quality. It's so nice to know where the tea comes from and how the plantation and the workers are being well looked after.

A unique range of high quality, premium loose-leaf tea that brews perfectly in every pot and cup. Can really taste the difference from your largely manufactured products with this small batched product. Love it and is a must-try for all!
