I'm Glenn, and welcome to Resolved Personal Training. I look forward to meeting you and helping you take charge of your health and fitness.
I have been involved in health and fitness for over 10 years, and train regularly to improve my cardiovascular endurance and usable strength. In my other life I am a professional firefighter, and maintaining a high level of fitness helps me to perform in very physically demanding conditions.
When it comes to training others, my interests include: Weight loss, hypertrophy (building muscle), functional fitness (using training to make everyday movements easier) and lastly, using training as a way to raise ones expectations from themselves and their life.
I was a chunky little kid (no photos of that going up!) who wasn't interested in exercise and who always thought I'd be that way. But a spark of inspiration planted a seed that was motivation to slowly but surely rebuild my body and change 'I will never be able to do that' to 'I'll get there, one step at a time!'.
I believe a lot of what holds people back from making positive changes in their lives is telling themselves they can't do it. In no way will making the change be easy - but being better educated, consistently making better decisions and committing to doing the work required will give you a tremendous sense of achievement and control of your destiny.
