Wonderful food and great service! I love going here. I went in the evening and the presentation of the place was great! The staff were very friendly, helpful and happy to offer suggestions. Even with other customers around it felt really cozy and comfortable.

She thought "it was lovely, but not sensational". Saying this makes her feel dreadful (for not giving them 5 stars). Personally I think the beer was good.

Great country pub fare. The calamari was surprisingly, which can be a gamble being inland, but it was tender and had a lovely spiced coating. The chicken parma was delicious too. Excellent selection of beers on tap and other local drinks available too. The bistro was packed on a Sunday night so we sat in the main bar which was quiet and lovely. Great service too considering there were only two front of house staff that were running flat out to make sure everyone was served.

Always good, friendly service when in Castlemaine, so i ventured down for a meal recently and ordered the Chicken Parma with salad and chips. Previously it had been ok, but this time on a busy Sunday, the meal was not worth $25. Too big, for a start, dry chips and mediocre salad with not enough dressing. I would rather a much smaller serving of a much better quality any day of the week. Salad has to be more than a bunch of dry lettuce. It's not that hard

My new local and a great little pub. Relax in the beer garden or prop up the front bar telling yarns with the locals. Love sitting outside on a Sunday watching the Steam train rattle past.

Amazing experience. Food, drinks and service was right-on point, and it was a busy Saturday night. Need to book ahead. Best country pub meal I've had. tried the wagyu, was very impressed. Will be back for sure!
