We stayed at Pierrepoint winery over the weekend. We stayed in the Pinot suite which was basic but comfortable. We were supplied with a continental breakfast which wasn't that exciting - white bread, a choice of a few spreads, SPC fruit cups, toaster, coffee and tea. I think for $200 for the weekend we couldn't have been given a bit more of a variety of breakfast items. They also have a cellar door which looked like it housed a cafe which would have been even nicer to have our breakfast in there with bacon and eggs, OJ and coffee. The bed was comfortable and th ensuite bathroom was fine. The property was in a nice location as well. We had dinner in Tarrington which was nice to. It's a nice play to stay. We were lucky enough that they had switched on the heater in the room before we arrived. As we arrived later in the evening they were accommodating and helpful.

Just stopped by to taste some wine. Jennifer was very friendly, showed us around the farm and suggested some nice places to visit in the area. We had a really nice time. Thanks Jennifer.

Selling 2005 Shiraz " Artemisia " on Grays Online No refund, No review opportunity. There is a reason for that 3 out of 3 bottles BAD, however that was apparently old owners? New wine maker has offered to substitute for new.

Well thanks a lot Pierrepoint Wines.. thanks for totally trashing our weekend! They cancelled our booking with less than 20 hours notice.. (after our pre-payment from 2 weeks ago) please be aware they had no qualms about it at all… obviously they got a better offer so don't count on your booking being honoured.

Today we met Jennifer and Andrew the owners of Pierrepoint winery. Jennifer was a wealth of information about wine and the local area. We had a lovely time chatting about the vineyard and its history as well as enjoying a chance to explore the vineyard surrounded by aussie eucalypts as a crowd of ducks and sheep followed us about!!
We left with a bottle of 2011 and 2013 Pino Noir, both beautiful and distinct in their own way! (Enjoying the 2011 with some cheese and salmon!)
Great to meet Andrew and Jennifer and hope to stop back when we are next in the area!response / report this review
