We recently purchased our second barcode printer through Peacock Bros. Whilst we had no problems with our first purchase, the second has been an absolute debacle. The sales staff seem terribly incompetent. It took 9 emails back and forth over a period of 9 days before we received an invoice. From the date of payment of the invoice, it was almost two weeks before the printer was delivered to us. When the printer arrived, they had not included a printer ribbon. At no point during the sales process were we advised that the printer required a ribbon. Perhaps we should have known, but it seems like this is something that a competent sales person would notice. It took another 2 weeks for the printer ribbon to arrive. We have been unable to get the printer to print correctly, and Peacock Bros will not provide after-sales support unless we pay for a 1hr service call ($275) or sign on to a support contract ($99). Both our IT department, and our software provider have been unable to configure this printer. We will not be purchasing through Peacock Bros again, and would caution anyone considering purchasing through them.
