If this place was in Melbourne or Sydney, you wouldn't get a seat. Excellent food, great service and nice wines! We spent two weeks eating out in Port Douglas (this is our second time visiting) - this place ranks in my top three restaurants!

A very pricey place with mediocre food. We got table immediately, but after the starter, it took too long to get the meal. While the starter was pretty good, the pasta portion was small and the sauce not tasty at all.The tap water had noticeable chlorine taste.

Aside from a very attentive and devoted service, the food was extremely well curated and nicely presented, as if we were is a good restaurant in Italy. It is not cheap, but it was longtime I did not have had a fish like this. PS try the home made pasta, if you don't like it, don't go to Italy :)

I had high hopes for my dining experience tonight and was let down.
We were seated quickly enough and orders taken. A child's meal was delivered pronto as promised.
My partner's and my pasta took some time to arrive. I understand quality takes time and it's mentioned on the menu. Our dishes arrived looking lovely yet were on the small side for the price. Our wine arrived only when I had to approach staff and remind them of the order and our water bottle remained empty until ai asked for a refill.
Given it was not busy and quite a warm evening , I'm disappointed. We paid top dollar for a sub standard experience.response / report this review -

This place is one of the more authentic Italian places I've ever eaten in Australia. Everything was fresh, seasonal flavours - a true winner. Both a benchmark and a landmark for Port Douglas.

Superb. Spectacular, honest Italian using locally sourced ingredients. The staff are wonderful, the wine list exciting. Wasn't even on the hotel list of restaurants, what a find.

This resteraunt is the best dining experience we had in Port Douglas, or anywhere really. A real gem if you're a foodie and looking for an authentic Italian meal. The staff couldn't not be faulted and so accommodating. The food is some of the best pasta I've ever had, all made fresh with great ingredients and so much passion. A highly recommended resteraunt if your loving for something above the stock standard Port Douglas dining.
