We are very happy to announce that we will soon be changing to a new and exciting restaurant: Beach Bum Kiosk.

We will be opening soon and are thrilled about the change. Hope to see all of our lovely patrons soon.

Orientai offers a mix of Southeast Asian food, mostly Thai-style with Chinese, Malaysian, Japanese, Indonesian and Vietnamese influences. "Our chefs pick [traditional Asian] dishes and do [them] in a different style - so we'll put lemongrass in something and make it a bit more Vietnamese, and make it a bit more local," says manager Kalyan.

Manager Kalyan has worked at Orientai for the entire fifteen years since its inception. He started out as a dishwasher in 2001 and made his way to management by 2003. He is now also a business partner, showing that hard work and dedication really does pay off!

Before Orientai existed, the site was home to a Chinese restaurant called Oriental, which opened in 1970 and sold in 2001 when the owners wanted a change of pace. The Orientai team took over the venue, and have been dishing up amazing Southeast Asian-inspired meals ever since. They decided to keep the name similar but change the last syllable to '-tai' in reference to their biggest culinary inspiration: the Thai cuisine.

Classic Thai stir-fries, curries and soups, in a modern locale. So are you coming in tonight?
