Would not build with New Choice Homes again or recommend them to anyone and regret building with them. I emailed NCH 10 weeks ago about roof problems and after weeks they said roof force will contact me and I still have not heard back from roof force.
As a roof plumber of 13 years and being in the building industry I worked with many building companies and chose NCH because they said they use top trades and are better than the other building companies and what a joke that was. We have been in our new house now for 2 years and I'm still finding problems with the house and appliances.
I asked to do the roof cover myself because I wanted a good job done and could do it for quarter the price But NCH said No.

    Roof force defects
    Dents and scratches
    screws not on chalk line
    screw pattern mixed up.
Flume in ensuite over beam so ducting to fan will have a bend in it.
Flume put on north side where future solar panels are to be installed.
The two feature walls at front of house have not been capped right, there is also a large gap on corner of capping.
Where the two valleys are joined, there is a large gap, to fix this they smashed it with a hammer and can be seen from alfresco area.

Down pipes cut with grinder so they have rough edges and look messy, these will rust over time. Told NCH and they said its normal. Insulation lapped the wrong way. Should be laid from gutter first then lapped going up roof. Also noticed they used 3 different coloured screws on roof.
I am both shocked and gutted about the work that has been done on this roof. Even the basic of roofing they did not do well and I do not understand why it has been done so poorly given the fact that they were told to do a good job knowing that I am a roof plumber.

This is a brand new house and a brand new roof so you would think the finished product would appear that way.

I have looked at the house roofs on my street and I cannot see any poorly done roofs. I can honestly say that my roof is the worst in the area and I am embarrassed aswell as not happy with the work that has been done on my roof. It was the one thing that I really wanted to be done nicely.

Bobcat driver smashed most of the slab and pvc pipe.
With the sewer pvc pipes they run them to alfresco area and put the stink pipe right by alfresco sliding door and DG gully from kitchen sink on other side of sliding door. The pipes then run around the house to main sewer line. This was also a nightmare to deal with. I said at start of build that I will be putting concrete down deadside of house so make sure the pvc pipes are done well. So they decided instead of running sewer line 20 meters down deadside of house straight to main sewer line that they would run sewer line 60 meters (at my cost) around house and put stink pipe and DG gully in alfresco area. Not one person questioned this or called me so once the slab was done the pipes could not be changed. After many conversations with NCH I was able to get the stink pipe and DG gully moved out of alfresco which is now been done in honed washed aggregate. Had 90ml pvc pipe put under garage floor and it butted into another pvc pipe. Just as well I checked it before rest of area was concreted. I had to dig under garage floor to lower pipe making it 1 meter under ground and extended it out. Why the plumbers done that I do not know. Also it was put in the wrong spot and I had to put a 15 degree bend on it and now I'm having trouble running retic pvc pipes. I have two pvc down pipes in garage that have joins in them, there should be no join. Reece plumbing.

With TV aerial sent emails to Intelligent homes and NCH with position of aerial and was still installed in wrong spot. When moved to right spot they left two screws side by side and sealed them which can be seen from ground.

When I measured expansion cut in garage from brick wall to expansion line it was 50ml out. Making another nightmare to live with.
Air conditioning unit on plans was on dead side of house then after bricks and roof was done it had to be moved between bedrooms because NCH made a mistake.

I cannot rate Steve Burton and New Choice Homes enough!! These guys are super stars, made the whole building experience so easy and each one of these people have been a dream to work with, particularly Steve Burton. So thorough and talked us though everything in layman's terms, and went the extra mile to help us out through some personal bumps in the road. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Thanks Steve :)

If you're thinking of building I highly recommend you go see Neil Morris at New Choice Homes as I did. He is a genuine, all round nice guy who gives you information straight up in a no pressure approach. With his skills he can design and alter plans to suit your needs and desires. His wealth of knowledge in the industry is priceless and I can guarantee he will help you get what you want at a great price.

Not only that, you are getting quality with New Choice because they owned by Spadaccini Homes who are known for quality in and around Perth. Do your research and you will see yourself they are reputable and should be a builder at the top of your list to see. Very happy with their service. Go see Neil, you won't regret it.

Excellent customer service. Very patient, responsive, helpful and friendly. We are doing a few items ourselves after handover and they are willing to provide advise for us afterwards even when they are very busy under the current building industry bloom. Special thanks to Nicholas Miles :)

We have been looking at building and in the current climate it has become difficult to choose, one of the best for Advice, information, design and professionalism is Lisa Michlenon of New Choice homes. She is extremely professional and listened to what we wanted. Her response times and administration were excellent. On this occasion we did not go with New Choice but that was a hard decision. When we contacted Lisa to advise her of the decision, although disappointed she was extremely professional in her response, asked for our feedback and wished us all the best and still gave us sound advice.

Had a very rude experience with the sales rep at the Eden Beach Display home, we were looking around for the day for inspiration as my sister is building and soon to pick colours etc. as we were having a look around, almost ready to leave she came out and started asking some q’s, when she told the rep she was already signed up to another company she was rude and made us all feel very uncomfortable. She questioned why we were still looking at displays and when we explained we were looking for inspiration she questioned why the company she’s signed to doesn’t discuss it with her themselves, and rudely tried to talk down to us. My mother, sister and I were all made very, very uncomfortable and left immediately after that rude conversation. Very unprofessional and will be warning anyone off going with New Choice.
