We had been given a winery lunch voucher and a wine included..We arrived at the winery and had a wine tasting. Choose our Moscato..Walked down to our chosen spot w here lunch was in a chiller. Absolutely fabulous..Plenty to eat. Dessert very divine. The whole lunch at the winery was very enjoyable..recommended for any body..

Modern Australian food and wine in a beautiful vineyard setting. Ate in the pizzeria. Couldn’t fault the service. The pizzas were delicious. The Chardonnay was amazing. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and drinks. A sumptuous spread for all. Also, one can take a 1 km walk to look at interesting sculptures.

Montalto is great! I've been there each year for my birthday and really enjoyed it. The scenery is great and the sculpture walk is a fun activity. Food is top notch as well, the service speed however isn't the fastest.
    Overall great place!

Had a great lunch out in pizza area. In fact the choice of food and service is on par with the restaurant. Sat in one of the newer seating areas and was presented with such a glorious view of estate. A real lovely experience.

We booked Montaltos to for my birthday, unfortunately our experience at the so called fine dinning restaurant was horrendous. We had the rudest waitress who mocked my husband when he ordered . The menu is ridiculous, reading it is confusing, as there is no clear indication on what is entree or main . Instead of explaining the menu the very sophisticated waitress makes fun of you and makes condescending comments to embarrass you for not understanding. I have never been more disappointed in a winery that I might say far below standard considering the money spent.
MONTELTOS DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR A RE TRAIN YOUR STAFF!

The prices were out of our usual price range but the staff were attentive and very friendly, so while it wouldn't be an every day experience for us it was certainly enjoyable. I love coming to Montalto for the sculpture.

We went on the school holidays and I took my 2 kids and my niece and nephew. The kids loved walking around looking at the sculptures. In the cafe the waitress was very kind and helpful. We had a pizza and a ploughmans lunch which I hoped would be a bit more to the kids taste, unfortunately it wasn't, it would be nice if there was just a few "less gourmet" options on the pizza menu. The prices were about what I'd expect to pay at a winery.

Good wines, fairly cold experience though, would have loved a little personality from the cellar door staff.

Popped to the pizzeria for a quick bite - definitely not great for the price. Chewy dough and okay flavour combinations. Staff was friendly and organised and service was quick.

The grounds are beautiful and lots of sculpture art on site so worth a visit if you have the time.

We have been to this pace a few times now.
The views over the vineyards are beautiful and there is a really nice sculpture walk.
There's a variety of food with outside and alfresco dinning and a restaurant.
Wine tasting is $5 per person unless you make a purchase. Our experience is most wineries in the area are free for tastings.
The food and wine are good. The staff are always nice, friendly and helpful with food and wine.
All and all is a nice place to visit.

This place is amazing. The scenery. The walk in the gardens between the statues ( which i was told are changing on regular base).
Food was good ( fish and salads brilliant) though the meat was a bit fatty and with no flavour - to be fair they didnt charge us for it after we complained.
    Otherwise it's a 5 stars place.

Modern architecture meets rustic design the best way to sum it up and to be right next door to Tuck’s; it is walking distance. Pinot Noir is the flavour at Montalto although getting a taste of the high end one’s can be hard, make sure you ask the question as it is worth it. You feel like you are walking through the vines here and backdrop spotted with fancy sculptures adds to the appeal and style.

We dined in the Montalto Restaurant. The food was of a very high quality and well presented. Afterwards we strolled through the bar and casual dining area, where the food on the tables looked just as colourful and inviting. Highly recommended for either casual or fine dining.

Waited 2 hours for a table after being told it would probably only be half a hour. They wouldn't let us wait in the shade on the deck even though it was blisteringly hot. Have woken up burnt to a crisp as I didn't think I'd need sunscreen to go dining. We were told it was reserved for a function, but for the 2 hours we were there I never saw any evidence of that. We instead had lunch up the road at the Pig and Whistle, and whilst their menu is a little more pub-food than fancy, at least their staff weren't arrogant and the food was cooked with love.

Went for wine tasting before our lunch. Paid to taste 6 different ones on the list(3white, 3 Red). After going through all the whites, the waiter poured the Red straight to our glasses without rinsing them. So I politely asked for new glasses. He acted like that's the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard. I asked if I was the first one that had such request. He answered yes, and further explained that's why there's water available(which he did not offer until I raised the issue), otherwise they'd be washing thousands of glasses everyday. Oops, didn't know your workload was actually our concerns as customers. Will definitely keep in mind on our next visit so that we could further indulge your unprofessional behaviours.

PS: when charge people $80pp for lunch, perhaps could afford extra helps for glasses duty??
