Beer tasting was OK. The cider tasting was a pathetic attempt using syrup to create disgusting sweet taste for $21 each then came the sucker punch. We ordered a $75 sea food platter which resembled a bowl of sick. Do not go there unless it's for beer only.

Food overpriced $55 for a piece of sirloin, some vegetables & a glass of housewine. Went on a quiet day, slow service, told to take a seat. Took one, then advised that the area was reserved. After I had finished, The area that I first sat in was empty. No air conditioning inside for the warmer months either. The only place I was allowed to sit inside was right outside the restrooms. Never going back. Your best bet for food is directly behind this place. You'll save money and get your values worth. The sirloin will be upgraded to Scotch Fillet and about $10 less

Despite some fantastic tasting beer, the service was sub-par and vegan options non-existent. My brother and I were enjoying a few quiet pints with some entree's when the staff insisted that we order food or they could not serve us any more beer. Despite the fact that we had been there for over three hours and had consumned approx 1 pint per hour. Being treated like children as we were we decided to pay our bill and leave, retreating to Grill'd where they actually have vegan options. I can remember a few years before when my brother, my mum and my step dad would come on a Sunday to have dinner and a few beers without harassment, but sad to say those days are long gone. The Monk management have lost the plot, and I will never come back.

Excellent beer AND cider tasting paddles. Salted caramel apple cider was incredible

Relaxed atmosphere. Great beers. I love it when the sun's out as it's great to sit outside and watch the world go by.

The service was horrific. After we waited to be seated without so much as an acknowledgement from anyone passing by, we were shown to our table where the menus were put down and the waitress immediately vanished.
When ordering from a different waitress, I asked what the speciality beer was like. "It's a wheat beer." That's all the information that was forthcoming.. for a place that does its own craft brews, you'd expect a bit more of a description. Menus were snatched from the table the second we were done ordering.
Drinks were delivered by another male staff member, who dumped them on the table after confirming one, but not the other, order.
Have gone to and enjoyed this place in times past, but can't look past the current service level. Steer clear.

I loved the atmosphere at this place, especially at the outdoor area. Staff is very friendly and the service was quick and efficient.

The food isn't anything special and the menu is limited but I would come back for the drinks. Their beer is really good and location is great.

Ordered 2 pizza and a salad, went for white garlic sauce and potato, the potato was slightly under done. Needed to either be sliced thinner or cooked longer. Other than that good service and lively atmosphere

Terrible service - Went with a group (8) of people on a Friday night. Was told by the waitress that we should order on multiple bills to save splitting the bill at the end of the night. Went to pay and the person on the till was furious at us, saying this was not how it should have been done. Following, two of our three 'table numbers' had items we did not order. Was told by the till staff member to 'pay for it and sort it out between yourselves', except no one had ordered food and there was over $100 worth of charges. Ruined our night after having to fight over the bill. Staff need to be better trained and the man on the till should be kept away from customers.

Review of monk's craft brewery kitchen in Fremantle WA
    Where their motto is
Our meals come 'fire to order which means as soon as it's done it will come!!
Emphasis on all capital letters there
    My review :
Don't eat there if you're hungry
    Prices
$40 for a 750ml bottle of cheap wine
Haven't been able to review the food yet because after more than an hour we haven't gotten our food yet
    We ordered
    Fish and chips for $24
And garlic rosemary bread for $9
    Stay tuned
Turns out our order never went through.
We decided to pay for the $40 cheap wine and cancel our 'non order'
The manager apologised to us and comped us for the wine.

    His parting words
    "Please come back again"

    I don't think so.
