Amazing place. This man opened up a room at 4am for us and let us use the room all day. Would highly recommend staying at this place. Great hospitality

We could not have picked a better Motel than this one to stay for 3 mights. Very Friendly. Very Clean rooms and Maria and her husband could not have done anymore than what they did to make us feel welcome. Bacon & Eggs for Breakfast was huge & We had dinner in the resturant and the meal was just perfect. Fresh vegetables YUM!!!! If your going to Mackay I would highly recommend the Miners Lodge.

Lovely, Fantastic Experience. The first time i booked my partner in at this motel Peter was very helpful in getting my partner booked in to the motel when he wouldnt be arriving till after 10pm. The second weekend there was lots of rain around Mackay, I was meeting my partner there for the weekend and I wasnt sure if he would make it through with all the roads being damaged and flooded - Karen and her husband kept me updated on the roads in and out of Mackay so I know if he could get through. If you have to be away from home this is the best motel to be in! Nothing is too much trouble and they are always happy to help you out where they can. I would not stay anywhere else - I have stayed in plenty of motels and no one has been more accomodating and lovely than Karen, Ross and Peter. The rooms were also very clean, tidy and comfortable.

My wife and I recently stayed in this motel, we were fortunate enough to get the last room available. Despite the full house, the new owners, Karen & Rossco couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The rating might be 3 star but the owners attitude and friendliness make it a 4 STAR. Clean comfortable rooms and excellent food in the dining room so we extended our stay to 2 nights. Couldn't expect better but then again we're just simple folks and only stay in about 30 or 40 motels a year. This is one of the better ones and the rates are very reasonable.
