The build went well. Just finished building in Evanston. When they said fixed price contract in initial quote, that’s exactly what it was. Fixed. So we had no surprises unlike some of our friends who built with other builders. we would definitely build with Metro again.

I would never make the mistake of building with Metro ever again.

Metro say they pride themselves on honesty and integrity, but I'm yet to see that statement in their actions.

The only good thing about Metro, is the sales and selection staff, at least they were friendly but don't let that fool you like it did to us. The way we have been treated after we moved in has been beyond horrible.

They dismiss most of your maintenance claims and try swindle out of fixing anything.

The director / operations manager is rude and seems to put his hand up in your face when you raise legitimate concerns and refers you to ACCC rather than fixing the issue themselves. It's a typical business, with too many chiefs, but not enough Indians.

They seem to get the cheapest trades and some of the quality of the workmanship shows.

The house is liveable, although the way Metro have conducted themselves has been far from a pleasant experience.

If you are desperate enough to build with Metro, my Tip: Get absolutely EVERYTHING in writing and get building inspections along the way and make sure you get them to fix everything before you give them your money, otherwise you might be waiting months for anything to be done, if at all. Don't just take their word for it. They always say what you want to hear but don't deliver on their promises.

But do yourself a BIG favour and build with someone else. Find someone who actually cares for their customers.

Built with Metro this year up in Mount Barker. Could not be happier with all their communication and advice. They were so helpful throughout the whole process and always kept us in the loop. The finishes and design of our home was of the highest quality and out site supervisor was extremely helpful and looked after us the whole way.
We looked at a lot of building companies before choosing Metro, im so glad we did. Very happy customer.

We recently got married, and our home in Mount Barker was completed in time for us to move in. The build process was seamless we did not have to get to involved at all, the communication throughout the build was excellent. We found the Metro Property team to be easy to work with and deal with.
